A magical place

It’s been a lifelong ambition to come here and for my 50th birthday I decided to treat myself and I wasnt disappointed. Spent two nights in a warm room and the final night in the ice room. The warm room in the hotel was lovely, plenty of space and perfect for all our needs including keeping our thermal overalls and snow boots.
All the thermals and boots were provided by the hotel to make use of on all the trips and whilst moving around the site.
Whilst we were here, we went on a husky dog sled ride (amazing trip and highly recommended, especially as we are dog lovers). Also went on the snow mobile safari northern lights hunting and ice hole fishing. All the trips had food with them and despite the fact we ate in cabins in the woods, we had some lovely food (moose and reindeer were particular favorites.).
When it came to the ice room stay, we were in the survival of the fitest room, what an amazing art room, see video. One of the most amazing experiences of my life and surprisingly not that cold but the thermal sleeping bag helped! Slept well and woke up in the morning to a hot lingonberry juice and then into the sauna and then shower. All the art rooms come with the use of your own lockable cubicle, where you can store your luggage, get changed and even charge your phone!
All the staff are amazing and eager to help, nothing seemed too much trouble and their English was excellent.
Overall an amazing place to stay and the restaurant across the road for food was excellent for both breakfast and diner. We even saw the northern light as we walked outside our room.
An unforgettable experience which will stay with me forever.

Ice hotel

Stayed in the warm room, it was a little dark to drag the suitcases from the lobby especially in the snow. But the room was great and very spacious with good amenities

Suggestions.... Arctic!!

Beautiful structure entirely in ice. Born in 1991, it is the first ice hotel in the world. Built with blocks of ice taken annually from the adjoining River Torne, it is made on the occasion of the annual Ice Festival and houses the wonderful works of artists from all over the world. Absolutely to see

Clean, spacious, good food. Not pets friendly, the pets are not allowed anywhere, but in the room. Poor customer service. Poor accessibility.

Clean room and it was nice, that rooms were in the separete cabins so it didn't feel like a hotel at all. Breakfast was excellent and parking was easy. Great place to stay!
