This Myrtle Beach, South Carolina resort is located along the Grand Strand, a 96-kilometre stretch of beach on South Carolina’s coastline. Features include a water park with indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs.

Clean room...staff friendly... great pool access a little ant 🐜 issue around the lounge chairs. Beach view was great.

Nice Place for Families
Decent resort of high rise condos in a group of four buildings that has a Marriott between. They actually share pools with them.
The rooms were clean and updated. The patio had a couple chairs and table. We had an ocean view room with a panoramic view of the beach.
We stayed the Palms building. It seemed that many of the visitors maximized the room capacity and even beyond the maximum. This was evident by the number of people going in and out of rooms together and from the ongoing waits for elevators at check-out and check-in times. It's like college move in/out days. And this was with three elevators in use. Other times it was fine.
The pools provided cover and a lazy river. Get there early or you will never get chairs or tables. Not so unusual.
The pool building is very outdated but still adequate. Watch for loose pavers, while walking.
They give each room two vouchers for a breakfast buffet, which is located across the street. The food is ok, not unlike other free hotel breakfast.
Parking is also across the street in a parking garage. Plenty of spaces but they seem to be a little tight, especially with a bigger vehicle.
The beach access is excellent. You can rent and reserve a set of chairs and umbrella, if desired. Check for prices.
Staff that I encountered were friendly. Towels were stocked and the outdoor area was clean and organized by early evening.

Guests Beware of the Dunes!
I purchased a hotel vacation from August 4th to August 9th. I was assigned to the Dunes building across the street. The hotel was dirty, AC was falling apart, bathtub lever did not work and yelling and fighting outside room for 2 nights. My vacation was ruined. I did not get any sleep. Just a horrible experience! I first notified front desk. I was told they could not help me since I booked through Southwest/Rocket Travel. Maintenance did come and put a piece in the bathtub so I can use it but stated it was old and would need to be fully replaced. I contacted Southwest. They gave me a one night refund stating the hotel would not reimburse me and it was only a one night courtesy from Southwest. I am still out 503.64 for last 2 nights. I checked out on the morning of the 6th. I had to wait to get my travel plans in order. I requested a refund from Breakers for the remainder of cost. I could not stay there any longer. It was just a horrific experience. The request was denied.

Not the Breakers my kids grew up with any more
This was our 8th trip to Breakers in the last 10 years. Our boys have grown up with a Myrtle Beach vacation at Breakers, but have to say this past stay was the worst we have experienced. First, the room was the worst we have had in all our stays. Second floor Paradise building 'ocean view' yes, but also right above the pool and slides that made it noisy all day. And some kind of construction on the pool on Tuesday or Wednesday woke us up early. Sounded like a jackhammer
Second, the Papa's breakfast is barely above budget hotel level now. We remember the fresh cinnamon rolls, multiple choices of cereal and other treats and options that have disappeared. We only used 1 day of our 4 available meal tickets, and there were people out front giving theirs away when we were heading to the garage to leave. The 'free breakfast' that we used to look forward to and was a big selling point for us in the past is not a perk any more.
Third, the elevators in the Paradise building have a problem with their door sensors. The doors closed on me so hard while I was entering it bruised my arm and knocked my coffee out of my hand. A normal elevator door will only need a light touch to retract and open again.
Fourth the internet is weak and spotty at least on our floor
The concierge is worthless if you call me to say I have a free gift but only give me 30 minutes to get it while I'm at the beach
On a positive note, the room was comfortable and was able to stay cool during an extreme heat wave. Everything in the room worked and was stocked properly. The daily towel exchange was welcome.
Props to whomever located the marijuana smokers and had them kicked out.
It's sad we probably won't be coming back to Breakers any more for our Myrtle Beach vacations. They have some great bargain prices sometimes, but the amenities are not what they used to be and our kids are outgrowing the experience.

Do not stay at breakers Dunes!
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Thought I was booking for the breaker resort on the strip (the nice one) turned out I was booking for the other breaker’s property across the street. Ac couldn’t keep the room cool, set at 60 but room never got cooler than 76. Had to prop a chair on the ac unit to keep the air from blowing behind the curtain. Refrigerator barely gets cool. Only 2 single outlets in the room. Had to unplug the microwave to charge our phones. Parking was terrible. The parking lot was a block over and only parking at the hotel was random rows they highlighted on a map. 3 nights and Room service never came to the room. Had to call the front desk for towels then again for wash clothes. Would’ve had a better experience in a tent with a box fan
