Great stay

- pros
Nice balcony with a beautiful and peaceful view of Kandy. Friendly staff. Good room with comfy bed, fresh linens.
- cons
Toilet is outside the house and on the "basement" so if you want to use it in the middle of night it's bit annoying to go outside. Not convenient.
No hot shower.

nice service and worth it s price

we stayed there for three nights, the housekeeper was very friendly and helped us by planing things around kandy. he did absolutly a great job. the room was clean and has a nice view. the only negative point was that the owner had a houseparty one night and they played their music very loud and didn't stop till 2am...so we didn't get any breakfast the next morning because he was still asleep and other guets wanted to checkout and couldn't find the owner either. but all in all it was a nice accomodation.

Great stay

We had here one of our best stays here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Take the room near the entrance, left to the bathroom. Great view. Great Villa. Just perfect. And dont miss to go to the botanic garden.

100% recommend! Set in paradise.

This hostel/hotel is a converted villa and as soon as you walk in you feel at home. There's a lounge area with super comfortable sofas and a tv, dining area, kitchen if you want to cook and a stunning view from the balcony overlooking the hills of Kandy. The entire place is absolutely spotlessly clean and rooms look very new. It has a very homely vibe and you feel your belongings are safe lying around but there are lockers just in case in the dorms. The owners are so friendly and invited us out one night for drinks at their local bar in Kandy, and brought me some food from a takeaway place as they were getting for themselves as well. There's an older guy who maintains the property, cooks breakfast, does the washing and cleaning and he's a really nice helpful guy. He gave me a hug as I was leaving to go in a tuk tuk to the train station. Planned to stay one night but ended up staying 4 because I loved the place so much. If you want to relax, this is the place to be. Although the location is 2km out of town up in the hills but that is the advantage- away from the craziness of Kandy and set in a slice of paradise. Tuk tuk from city only around Rs300.

Friendliest hotel ever :)

Kitchen, rooms, balcony, common room and its great sofa... This hotel had everything we needed to relax and feel at home. But it's the staff that really makes the difference here. Yohan and his staff are the friendliest people ever, they will help you in any possible way and if you take the time to sit with him, you might discover a lot about Sri Lanka and its culture.
Just go !
