Centrally located and within walking distance to many amenities. Booked with discount thus can't advise if it's value for money at original price.

Might as well be living on a construction site given the loud repetitive thumping construction noise.
Due to its location to the construction site across the street from the apartment, this place is incredibly noisy. The noise pollution is a mix of loud repetitive banging (construction related) and haphazard noise emanating from the construction site. I used a sound meter and measured the noise level in my room to exceed 70db. The warning of "Please note that construction work is going on nearby from 8:30am to 5pm and some rooms may be affected by noise" on the listing does not accurately forewarn of just how great of a disturbance it is.
It was impossible to relax in the room, even on the weekend where construction activities are still conducted. Also the construction runs into the evening, to 8pm and sometimes later. Both the apartment and booking.com refused to refund the unused portion of my stay despite my submission of videos and evidence, I wanted to find a more suitable place where I could work from the room and relax in it on the weekend. I don't recommend this place if you want to stay in the room for prolonged periods of time to work/relax.

Staying at the Greatwood Residence at Devonshire in Singapore was a truly wonderful experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly and professional staff who made check-in a breeze, setting the tone for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location of the residence is superb, nestled in a peaceful area yet conveniently close to the vibrant Orchard Road, providing easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The room I stayed in was impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with modern amenities that catered to all my needs. I particularly appreciated the fully-equipped kitchenette, which allowed me to prepare my own meals, adding a homely touch to my stay.

Unpleasant stay experience
I booked this hotel because it had a kitchen for cooking, since I was staying for a week. However, there was only one electric heater, so I couldn't cook. I could only boil water in a kettle. And there was no sink. I had to put food waste in the trash can in the room, and wash dishes and spoons in the washbowl in the bathroom. I felt like I was staying at a hotel in the depths of the Amazon. There was no detergent in the room, only an unlabeled bottle by the shower. When I asked the front desk, they told me to use it to wash my hands, body, hair, and dishes, so I thought I was in the depths of the African savanna again.
After booking, the hotel asked me my arrival time, so I told them my planned arrival time at Changi Airport (5:30 pm) and told the hotel that I would be able to check in around 6:30 pm. They asked me to check in by myself because the front desk's work ends after 7 pm, so I replied to them to send me instructions just to be sure, but there was no response. I found out later that the service list said that the front desk was open until 8 pm. The front desk staff didn't seem to care about this kind of carelessness at all.
I planned to stay for a week, but moved to another hotel after three days. When I checked out, I was asked to pay for the remaining four days as well, and after negotiating, I reluctantly paid an additional night and left. This hotel left me with nothing but unpleasant experiences.

The staff is helpful. But the rooms are a bit rundown and need a good renovation/clean-up job.
