The best in St Louis hands down.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Siki Hotel, it is a beautiful gem in a town that is rich in history. My room was clean and well presented and the staff were exceptional. My biggest thanks to Malick, who was front of house during my stay - he is a polyglot who is exceptionally polite and helpful. The owner of the hotel was very friendly as were all the staff, particularly the gentleman who facilitated the breakfast. I cannot recommend the hotel enough - the restaurant is truly lovely with a range of delicious eats.

Address to avoid

Pass your way. Disastrous welcome, and very unpleasant. All questions seem too much. You can feel the staff is just there to do the job. It’s a shame because the place is rather nice. The rooms are uninteresting, very limited bedding and especially kitchen smells that are difficult to bear at night. To top it all off, the restaurant is pointless. Frozen seafood , old and reheated dessert. In short, fortunately we spent only one night there!

Hateful welcome

What a pity that this hotel, ideally located in St Louis and with its tastefully decorated rooms, is run by people who have no sense but no sense of service and hospitality. The employees are all unpleasant and do not care about the customer (see other reviews).
If you still have the courage to book, take one of the rooms overlooking the Senegal River.
The restaurant is more than okay unless you are half board (which was our case). It was impossible to get us to eat à la carte and to be deducted from the price of half board.
Short hotel to escape!

Beautiful building with simple rooms

The Siki Hotel is in beautiful building which has been simply and tastefully decorated. It's in a good location on the island too. The rooms are simple and there's a lovely library type area to sit and relax in. Breakfast was serviceable (particularly disappointed to see grim huge jars of supermarket jam in a country that has excellent homemade jams widely available). The attached restaurant was lovely if you fancy a change from Senegalese food. There could be some noise from the restaurant and the courtyard style layout of the rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very disappointed

The hotel is pleasant by its exteriors.
We had a room with no window other than the access door and what's more, above the kitchens. We had a permanent smell of fried food in the room.
In addition, we had booked a double and we are given a twin.
In the evening, it was an incessant noise of kitchen ventilation with the floor vibrating and storage room.
And in the morning, around 5am / 6am, from the installation of breakfast!
You can report it to the staff, it doesn't change anything.
It's a bit of the customer's head, especially from the boss.
Rooms 18, 19 and 20 should be avoided.
