Grande Hotel a great choice when on a business trip in Celje

Grande Hotel appears to be an ideal choice to stay in while on a business trip in Celje, Slovenia. Room was a bit tiny, but the sleep was great. Staff was very friendly. They prepared a breakfast to take away for us. The price of 50 euro was a reasonable expense.

For those who are not too demanding

The hotel is located in an area with many shops, with a large multi-storey shopping center and a cinema, plus some restaurants. Quiet, has a few parking spaces. It does not have a lift, includes some very beautiful rooms in the common areas and is paved with paintings with often erotic, rather intriguing subjects.
The main problem in the room was the position of the air conditioning disc (!), to operate and regulate which you have to rotate it; but it's stuck to the ceiling (!). However, the bathroom set is good.
Breakfast with the usual dairy products and the usual Slovenian hams and obviously nothing sweet, except for some supermarket biscuits.
Suitable as a stop on a trip.

Overprised

The room we booked need to be renovated. The carper, the ceiling is damaged, also the inner windows blind need to be repair or better change. There is no air condition. It is some kind of small air circulation outlet bit it didnt work over night. You need to open the window for air, but then you will be wake up at 5 - 6 o clock in the morning because of the road near by. The tv has 16 programms, slovenian pop tv, slo1... and some other locAls. The hotel is part of the bigger building, on other side was shops (chinese....). The entry into hotel is from the side which is very near by auto salon - shop. The location is in industrial zone, but if you planning to have the movie night, there is cineplexx 3 minutes away by food. In the room the plastic flower is fascinating. The shower cabin was small. The parking place is avaibale. The breakfast was good. If i compare with other rooms like this one, it is overprised.i recommend only for one night stay. In spite of all i wrote, i slept well (good matress). Kind staff.

Poor location for tourists. Ok if have car.

Hotel furnished in old style. Bed was a 4 poster and drawers were large. Overall they seemed too big for size of room. Bed was very comfortable. Noise levels quiet with window closed. Breakfast ok. Full toiletries provided. Hotel was in industrial area and hard to find. Entrance is not like the feature picture, more like down an alley.

Convenient.

Easy to get, parking place available, a bit "vintage" but generally has everything it may be needed for short stay. Huge Mall at walking distance, with all available. No internal elevator in case of heavy luggages.
