According expectations
We just finished the holiday at this fabulous location in Baia Mare.
First point what I realized with arrival at location was the kindness of personnel.
2nd point was the cleanliness in all areas: room, restaurants, swimming pool, recreation zone...
3rd point, I’d like to highlight the pool bar - good diversity of drinks & acceptable prices.
As a conclusion, this location its just great, even if you go there with family, in couple or with your friends for party.

An unforgettable experience... unfortunately!
A beautiful location... too bad it's managed by Romanians!
Across average prices, make you think of a superior quality, but unfortunately in Romania the quality is totally missing! I'm sorry to say this because I'm Romanian, but that's the reality.
From the arrival in this location we had inconveniences, for which were found only superfluous solutions in our disadvantages:
1. We were accommodated in a double room that was so small that you had no air to breathe, not to mention that you wanted a little space to move.
2. The toilet located near the shower allows you to hold your knees in your arms. (imagine a woman in her last trimester, who wants to use the toilet)
3. Shower cabin in constant motion.
4. The door always remained open because the card did not work properly. You can imagine we woke up inside with a neighbor who had mistaken the room.
And after all those little aspects you can get over, came the most beautiful moment:
5. 32 degrees outside, humidity and probably 30 degrees inside and a conditioner air that gave us warm air. (and again please imagine a pregnant woman in the last trimester)
And only now is the fun beginning...
Announce the situation at the reception. Stay calm. Continue your vacation. Return to the room to find that nothing has been fixed. Come back to the reception to see what happened. Go back to the room. See that the door does not open due to the damaged card. Return to the reception to receive the key. Return to the room and make a shower at 30 degrees. Go down to dinner and ask the reception to find a solution. Arrive at the dining room and find that there are no free meals. Waiting for a table occupied by people from outside to be vacated because the people staying in the hotel do not have priority. Wait for the owner to come and see the waiting for the owner to come and see the damage of the conditioner air. Receive a room, not in exchange, but to sleep one night, until the situation is remedied. And the next day you repeat the experience of the first day because you can't get the room where the air conditioning works, and where you have space to move, only at night and in emergency situations.
The only plus I can give is with reference to the kindness of the staff that was above expectations and thanks to which we resisted those two nightmare days. Congratulations to the receptionists, waiters, bartenders and waitresses for all the effort. Unfortunately you have owners which don't desrve you.

A HOTEL WITH MANY STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
I recently stayed in this hotel (with my family, in 2 rooms), from Saturday till Monday morning, in order to take part to the wedding party of a relative young couple.
STRENGTHS
1.Rooms - were clean and spacious, with comfortable beds, functional wood furniture and effective electrical equipment (including free of charge Wi-Fi and TV access), nice medieval decors and beautiful sights on Baia Mare town and its hills.
2.Restaurant – was clean and well decorated, offering tasty food and excellent wines (as well as other beverages)
3.Staff – was generally effective, prompt and enough polite (with an exception)
4.Good location (outside the city) - with huge and well organised and equipped outdoor swimming pool (1,95m depth!) and spacious car parking area
WEAKNESSES
1.Shower - designed for modern hotels and hydromassage - was not fully operational as such (mainly because of the low pressure of water); in addition; its enclosure was obviously too small for the water battery’s sizes; it allowed water leakages outside the enclosure
2.The free access of outdoor swimming pool for hotel customers (as claimed by staff) was not fully recognized by the employees of its facilities (communication failures).
3.Significance and orientation of the GRILL facility (located outside the hotel, useful when the restaurant is exclusively occupied by wedding participants) were not at all relevant and clear (customer information failure)
4.Bed’s blanket sizes were not adapted to the bed sizes.
5.No shoe-horn was available in the rooms.

Excellent Hotel
A very impressive hotel. The entire hotel is built in a medieval style. Rooms are spacious, well done equiped and furniture is made from wood. They have a parking area inside the hotel yard. Stuff is very friendly and polite. The entire hotel is very, very clean. They have a very elegant restaurant inside the hotel with very good food and nice atmosphere. Outside the hotel is a pool for summer time. In top of this prices are very affordable. I recommend this hotel.

Ottimo soggiorno
Abbiamo dormito qui una sola notte e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Prezzo ottimo per una camera doppia con colazione; la camera era molto grande e spaziosa, bella calda, il letto grande e comodo, unica pecca il piumino per coprirsi corto.
Bagno piccolino ma funzionale, ottimi i prodotti di cortesia, buona la pulizia.
Personale alla reception gentile e che parla anche un po’ di italiano.
Colazione OTTIMA!!! Finalmente qualcosa di dolce da mangiare, c’erano delle mini brioches deliziose!
Wifi gratis, parcheggio gratis.
Bagno piccolino ma funzionale, ottimi i prodotti di cortesia, buona la pulizia.
Personale alla reception gentile e che parla anche un po’ di italiano.
