Portugese Hospitality

My sister and I travelled to Serra D'el Rei and was fortunate to stay in such a friendly hotel. The owner was very gracious and friendly. The location is perfect as it is in the middle of the city centre with cafes in walking distance. The room was spacious with a beautiful view of the Church. At night it did get a little warm but other than that we enjoyed our stay at Marazul. We recommend it for anyone thinking of visiting this quaint town!

Stunning old hotel, very beautiful with lovely staff

Our 2nd hotel was very different from the 1st hotel. This was a beautiful hire very old with wonderful staff. The breakfast was very basic but just enough the rooms were not fancy but basic but again it all helped with the age and the decor of the hotel close to the beach. It was just perfect for us nice peace and quiet. I will come back here again.

Hotel Marazul

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The hotel owner Khalid was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. The village is very pretty and we really enjoyed walking around it. The little cafe next door to the hotel was perfect for breakfast

A little gem of a hotel!

We needed a place to stay at short notice and my daughter found this little gem hidden away on Expedia, charging silly money (35€ for two) for bed and breakfast.
We drove past it twice on the main road, before realising that we had to turn in to a side street just before the hotel, and once we found it, had no trouble parking on the street close by. We were warmly welcomed by the manageress, registered and then given a welcome drink of the local cherry liqueur before going up to our room.
The room was plenty big enough, with two twin beds, and a full bathroom, as well as a lovely sun trap of a balcony. Everywhere was spotless, albeit a little tired and in need of some decorative work, but at the price charged, I wasn’t expecting the Ritz, and the Marazul was definitely great value for money.
We would happily visit again if we were in the area - so she is doing something right!

Central location

This is an older hotel located in a small square in the centre of the town. It is quaint and they provide a small but adequate continental breakfast. The rooms are not roomy but they kept clean and are serviced daily.
The hotel is run by a very helpful and seemingly tireless lady who was always available to offer information on the local. There are few restaurants and bars in town offering pretty good quality.
The main drawback is the due to the age of the hotel the soundproofing, both internal and external, is not of a modern standard. You will hear pretty much everything happening in the adjoining rooms and corridor and the comings and goings in the square outside the hotel. I was aware of the church bells sounding between 07.00am and 22.00pm, so this did not come as surprise.
