We had an excellent stay. Interesting building, great location. Staff were particularly helpful & amenable.

Visiting Évora ☰

Encompassing the Hotel, we are in 40 on the CVC tour and so we received a glass of white wine, polite staff, but the room is locked for guest settings: 1) TV volume is as low as possible; 2) air conditioning in the cold is locked at 25°C, if you try to decrease it automatically shuts off ; 3) Hot water does not have, only warm but this until it is the least.

Disappointing experience

We stayed at Olive Hotel Évora and unfortunately came away rather disappointed.
There were some positives: the location is excellent for exploring Évora, and a few members of staff were friendly and helpful.
However, the room had clearly seen better days and felt quite tired/poorly finished.
Breakfast was advertised as being served until 10:30am, but at 10:15am I hurried down to explain that my daughter had fainted and would be joining me in just a couple of minutes when she had recovered enough. Rather than showing any understanding, a member of staff abruptly told me we had only five minutes left and started clearing food away. A very average breakfast with terrible coffee and hot items that were stone cold.
The biggest disappointment was the pool. We had hoped to relax by the pool, but the entire garden area was surrounded by incredibly noisy building work - constant loud drilling, shouting, crashing, delivery trucks, etc. While I appreciate that the hotel has no control over neighbouring construction, it would have been courteous to let guests know before arrival so they could make an informed decision about their stay.
Overall, despite the great location, the lack of empathy from some staff, the poor breakfast experience, and the undisclosed building work meant this hotel sadly did not meet our expectations.

Fantastic hotel in Évora

Fantastic hotel. Very well located for walking to the historic center and close to bars and restaurants. The room we had was very large, with high ceilings, very comfortable, and with a view.
The breakfast was excellent. Being able to leave the car in the hotel parking lot is another plus.
Highly recommended.

First of all the check-in time is 4 pm. There was shortage of staff I believe , when we checked there was no one to assist us with luggage and there was no kettle and iron in the room . We asked for the Iron one later and it was provided though. The bathroom walls had mould and it was in a very bad condition . No toiletries and extra towels in the bathroom. Floor was rough and hard to walk made of concrete . We weren’t happy with the breakfast either . Cold and pre made breakfast .
