A fine hotel - a little outside the city center - but close to the bus-station

Hotel Ikar is just south of the city center of Bydgoszcz - if you com from Poznan it is easy to find - even if you have to turn around - it´s on the left side of the high-road. There are fine rooms and a good restaurant - the breakfast is very fine and they have fine menus for the dinner.
Just outside to the left you will find more busses to the center - use a map to find where you want to get out - the busses continue to the north of the city.

Low standard at an absurd price

Low standard at an absurd price. A large facility connected to a medical clinic. Everything in the room is old, worn out, collected from other hotels or facilities. Unpleasant place. It doesn't deserve 3*. The price for the room should be half that. The only advantage is easy access.
I do not recommend.

Convenient, Excellent Service, and Very Nice Restaurant

I stayed at the Hotel Ikar for one night during a recent business trip to Bydgoszcz. The hotel was extremely convenient, easy to get to from the main train station (via Taxi or Bus), and provided everything that I needed relative to comfort and overall convenience.
The staff was extremely attentive, helpful, and was completely flexible relative to a slightly delayed check-out so that I could enjoy the city.
I did not notice any noise due to thin walls, etc, as pointed out during other reviews.
I will definitely stay at Hotel Ikar next time.

Budget Business Hotel in Badgoszcz

The Hotel is clean and well maintained. It's nice and not expensive. The staff is friendly and attentive and most of them do speak a reasonable english. The trooms are not big, but comfortable. The beds are very soft, for those who like it. The hotel is a bit noisy, as the rooms are not sound isolated. So be aware that you'll hear your neighbours discussions.
The Resaurant serves local cuisine in good quality. The Restaurant room is quite large and so has the charme of a business canteen, rather than a Restaurant.
The checkin and Check out procedure is quick and firendly. The common credit cards are accepted

Good Stopover

I booked this hotel as a stopover as I had a 9 hour wait for the plane. It is clean and functional. I ate an evening meal pork fillet Wellington which was excellent. This is not a tourist hotel as it is well outside of main town.
