Unacceptable - POOR MANAGEMENT

My husband and I stayed 2 nights. The room walls are thin and it’s very noisy. The bed had ants (!!) but worst of all, in the 2nd night, the night shift guy constantly knocked on our door at 2AM and when my husband finally went to open the door, the guy was asking us when we plan to check out and when we will pay... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!
The next morning when we told one of the day shift staff about our experience, we were met with excuses but no apology! When we asked for compensation and/or to speak to the manager, the same staff member said he will call her and come back to us within a minute (he never returned).
After a while we asked the other staff member (Mizael) and he immediately contacted the manager. The manager however, was only willing to give us a 6% discount (10 soles - which would be deducted from the staff member’s salary). She did not speak with us and also did not apologies for anything. For us, this is UNACCEPTABLE. In the end, we did not take the discount out of principle. This shows extremely poor management and we strongly recommend to NOT stay here.
We do want to say a special thanks to Mizael who helped us, who was very friendly and lastly, the only person in this situation who apologized to us. THANK YOU.
Dear Manager, I truly hope you treat your other customers better than you treated us.

Good location but read review...

We stayed here for 2 nights when we first arrived in Lima. The location is great and I would definitely stay in Barranco on my next visit to Lima, and the staff were nice. The private bathroom had hot water, the bed was comfortable and it had a good TV. But the room we had was better described as a cell with no windows. It was also either freshly painted or damp but smelt terrible and the bathroom was tiny. I don’t think we would book here again.
