My best experience in Ica for work

I stayed at Hotel Kallma for a work trip and was delighted. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and quiet, perfect for rest or work. Hot water pressure was excellent, breakfast was delicious and staff very attentive. I will definitely return on my next trip to Ica.

Excellent service

The area itself, is a bit far from the center of Ica, but it is a quiet area, the friendliness of the lady was a 10/10, the room was very comfortable and hot water was available all day. I recommend it if you are traveling with family or couple.

Excellent service but...

I wasn’t able to sleep at all with all the noise outside. There were too many dogs barking outside, cars honking and people talking outside @3-5am. Room had no closet or a drawer to put some clothes away. The internet was super slow. I was also able to hear anything going on in the hotel, very thin walls and the doorbell was constantly being rung. There was no consideration for the guest staying to get some rest and sleep and be re energized for the next day.
They do have a nice terrace in the roof, that’s where breakfast is served. Breakfast was alright. Staff was really friendly. Also we had to buy shampoo from them because they apparently don’t provide that for the guest.
Overall... I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Super basic

Very basic accommodations.
Tiny room, for the first time, I've realized the value of having a simple chair in the room, cause literally, there is no convenient way to put your clothes off.
AC would be really nice, and reliable internet, at least 5 times faster would def benefit this place. The walls and windows let all the noise through, as if they are not existing; if you want any sleep at all ear plugs are must. For 20 USD a night it would be a good deal, but it is not 20...

Treated like family (the family that likes you that is)

This is a nice little budget hotel. The room is sufficient with private bathroom, tv, ceiling fan and bed. They offer breakfast which was different every day we were there from toast and jam to tamales. What really made this hotel stand out from all the 100's of places we have stayed is how we were treated. The multi generation owners treated us like family. I got sick one night we were there and the owner made me a special tea and let my wife use the kitchen to make me soup. They ordered food to be delivered in the middle of the night, they had a taxi waiting anytime they new we were headed out. These woman are extremely sweet and hospitable. Anything they could have done to make our stay more comfortable they did. We really enjoyed our stay with them and hope to see them again.
The location was a little noisy as they are near a church (I think) and the pillows were a little firm for my liking.
overall it was a fantastic experience in the end.
