Wonderful
Very welcoming hotel, with excellent service, very good accommodation, clean, clean bed linen, excellent breakfast. Congratulations to the entire hotel staff. Very good location, close to the center.

Love it!

Excellent location and service from all the staff, the room was nice and comfortable, and the breakfast was good.

Hotel Rojas Cusco Reservation Practices
We booked Hotel Rojas Cusco about seven months in advance under a pay-on-arrival reservation at a very good rate. At no point during booking were we told there was a payment deadline or prepayment requirement.
The day before our international trip, we suddenly received a notification saying that we had cancelled our own reservation. We never cancelled or authorized any cancellation.
When we contacted the hotel, we were later told the reservation had been automatically cancelled by the online booking system because payment was not completed in time, and that the hotel had little control over cancellations generated by the platform.
This explanation did not make much sense to us because:
-the booking was confirmed as pay on arrival
-no payment deadline was ever communicated
-the first email specifically stated that we cancelled the booking ourselves
the explanation later changed to “the system cancelled it automatically”
What made the situation more frustrating is that hotel prices for our travel dates are now significantly higher than when we originally booked months ago.
We cannot say for certain what happened, but the whole experience felt suspicious and created a lot of unnecessary stress before international travel.
If you book here, especially far in advance at a lower rate, make sure to:
-keep screenshots of all booking terms
-get payment terms confirmed in writing
-monitor your reservation closely
-unfortunately this will not protect against dishonesty

Foreign business travellers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru.
