Rooms need AC, even in Arequipa's mild to cold weather. It can get warm in rooms. Our triple room lacked a window and proper ventilation, making it unbearably hot at night. The staff was friendly

A beautiful building in a beautiful city. Service leaves something to be desired.

A magnificent building with two superb courtyards and period rooms full of charm and character. Very well placed near the center but the walls are so thick that you can not hear the noise of the city. Impeccably clean.
We were well received by Carlos but during the 5 nights we spent in the beautiful city of Arequipa we hardly ever saw a smile from his two colleagues at the reception. Too bad.
The transfer to the hotel on arrival was not successful, nor was our request for an excursion. No problem: taxis and tourist agencies exist but it would be better if the hotel did not offer the services it cannot provide.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and really enjoyed my stay. The property is a former mansion that once belonged to a Peruvian president who served from 1899 to 1903. He purchased it during that time and lived here after his term ended. Staying here feels like being part of history, and the rooms are beautifully designed with high ceilings. If you enjoy historical buildings like I do, you will definitely appreciate it. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was spotless, and the location was convenient. I’m glad I chose this place instead of a traditional hotel.
