Ett spännande boende för dig som gillar historiska miljöer. Vi hade inga höga förväntningar på comfort utan var väl medvetna om att toaletter och dusch fanns i korridoren och att frukost inte ingick. Det var enklare än vi trodde att ta oss till Gamlebyen med färja från färjeläge några hundra meter bort. Där åt vi en fin måltid. Det är lite för lyhört mellan rummen men grannarna var lugna, förutom en som snarkade. Vi hade önskat oss varsin sänglampa.
Vi skulle kunna rekommendera boendet till andra som gillar lite annorlunda platser för övernattning. Önskar du egentligen att bo på Scandichotell till en billig peng så har du inget här att göra.

Great location, but no hotel
We travelled with a group of 25 adults and had booked 'Hotel Magasinet' i.e. Cable magazine, annex set and Widdingstua.
There would be easy check-in with staff on site upon arrival as well as code lock. Self catering with access to 'fully equipped kitchen'.
On the booking page there were a number of single rooms, some twin rooms and several triple rooms. When contacting the Warehouse before arrival, the distribution of rooms was not the same as on the booking page.
No staff were present and the code we received did not work.
The number of beds per room did not match the booking. Staff called when we couldn't get in, were helpful but didn't know how many we would be, some beds weren't made. The warehouse is not a hotel, but a hostel.
The kitchen was tiny and extremely worn, dirty and rundown. Absolutely not fully equipped either with utensils or dish towels and there was no order whatsoever. Kitchen drawers had broken down, crockery in cupboards was not clean, dishwasher full, coffee maker overflowed, rubber strips in the dishwasher were loose, on the kitchen floor crawled ants and other small things.

Lovely surroundings. If anything else is important to you, think twice.
There is no staffed reception. I got my notification about check-in at 19:55, after hotels.com had worked for an hour and a half first to get through to the place (unsuccessfully), then to find me somewhere else to stay.
I got a basic room with thin walls and transparent curtains. Neither the shower room nor the toilets had lights the two days I stayed, so I needed to use them in the mornings only. My room was fairly clean, but everywhere else was quite messy and partly dirty. If you can handle that, price and location is good.
Be aware that lots of the information in their presentation is incorrect:
– Restaurant, bar, laundry facilities or coffee shop do not exist.
– Wifi seems to exist, but does not work.
– Blackout curtains do not exist.
– Located near a train station is not correct. The train station is 26 minutes walk away, according to Google Maps. Either that or five minutes walk plus two short and free ferry trips, plus eight minutes walk.
– Daily housekeeping is not correct.
– The place is not a B&B, as there is no food available. You might be lucky and get a room in a building with a kitchen, but you will not know until you get there.
All that said, I would consider going back. I know what to expect, and on some occasions I don't need more.

Arrival at property did not like the fact that there is no bathroom in the bedroom . Bathroom was down stairs and you can smell urine it so bad urine burnt my eyes. It was not conducive for my family . We left and send an email to customer care which was provided and no one provide a follow up email or phone call

When I booked the room, I booked it believing that there was breakfast included. There was no breakfast, which was a bit of a deal breaker for me. Also, the walls were paper thin, and you could hear the other guests in the communal area chattering on until very late. The bed was very uncomfortable. On the photos, the rooms looked very cozy and cottage core like, but in reality my room looked more like a worn down 1950's servant's accommodation. I ended up just staying one of the nights I had booked, and booked a room in a hotel with higher standard and breakfast.
Another thing was that the room I was in was on the ground floor right by the entrance. You could clearly hear people coming in and out of the building, and it made me feel really insecure and afraid. I kept waking up during the night with a really bad feeling.
I honestly don't feel like I got what I was promised, at all, and that it was a waste of money.
