Charming Hotel

My wife and I stayed for a few days at the Goldener Adler to attend a family function in Sulzheim. We thought the hotel was lovely and the owner, Dieter, was absolutely charming! The food was also excellent. The town of Sulzheim is also very pretty.

Perfect service!

WE visited the restaurant on the 2th of October 2016. with our 12 members of family. Everybody's food was very delicious!- the wine was perfect. The waiter was very polite and kind. The restaurant/hotel take cares for the children with many toys and they acitivated the PS4 game for our children. They surprised For our the teenager girl with a non-alcohol coctail and brought many small chocolate for all the children. While we were there we felt they really take care of our wishes.

An enjoyable stay

This convivial inn (Gasthof) proved to be a convenient solution when travelling from Munich to Frankfurt to catch an international flight back to Australia. Each accommodation that we called in larger, well-known locations on the route in May 2012 was full. For a final night in Germany, the Goldener Adler was congenial and well-appointed. It has with the family of the current owners since 1935. Our room was spacious and clean. The remaining road trip for the following day, with an evening flight, was easily achievable with time to visit picturesque Würzburg en route.

Our overnight stay when travelling to Czech Republic

Mostly we are charmed by the small villages in Bavaria, but this time we came way too late to enjoy the village. A dreadful day of trafficjams ended at 10:30pm at this hotel. We kind of prepared the owner that were arriving late, so he stayed up until we arrived. The whole hotel, bowlingalley and restaurant had the night off, so everything was dark, but he showed us to our rooms in a friendly manner. It was not the room we reserved sadly, but we saw beds and that was all that mattered. The beds were fine, the bathroom was nicely renovated and breakfast the next day left nothing to be desired. Everything was just okay. If we would have arrived earlier I would have objected to the other room, but for a little over a 100 euro we had our room, our breakfast and the next day a good starting point for the rest of our journey.

Immer wieder gerne

Wir sind mittlerweile zum fünften oder sechsten Mal auf der Durchreise Richtung Süden in diesem Gasthof untergekommen. Wie immer: extrem freundliche Aufnahme, sehr netter Wirt mit Unterhaltungswert - selten sind wir irgendwo anders freundlicher begrüßt und hofiert worden. Die Preise sind okay, sowohl für das Zimmer als auch für das üppige und sehr schmackhafte Essen. Danke und gerne wieder!
