Beautiful hotel
I really liked the hotel; the room was quite large, the breakfast was good, and the central location pleased me. The room had a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave, which is not commonly found in European hotels. The only problem was the small shower cubicle in such a large room. I would recommend this hotel; the price is reasonable and the service received is good.

Night personal in the hotel doesn’t speak English. Window are extremely dirty.
WiFi was first difficult to find the difficult to connect. broken bathroom sink with cracks, leaking soap. No bar.

There are other hotels in Leipzig
You really have to wonder why this hotel earned 4 stars. Our room smelled as if someone had smoked in it beforehand. The bathroom lighting left a lot to be desired; candles would probably have lit the room better. There was an electric kettle in the room, but only two tea bags. When we asked about coffee, they said it hadn't been ordered for a long time...
The pillow was an imposition; it was completely lumpy.
Our room faced the train station and the street, and we had to close the window at night because it was extremely loud.
For breakfast, there was only drip coffee, and the scrambled eggs were from a carton. The Bircher muesli and the porridge were inedible.
The hotel is centrally located; it gets one star for that.

What a rundown place!
You won't find 4 stars here; the layer of dust is much thicker instead. Royal is only written on the dirty carpets in the hallways.
The hotel entrance was quite battered. The reception was friendly. Our suitcases piled up with those of other guests in the foyer, if one can call it that. Unfortunately, there was no trunk. Instead, there was a dirty toilet with an equally dirty mop in the corner. A reflection of the entire hotel, as I realize now.
In the 1st. Room on the 3rd. I felt goosebumps as soon as I entered, but not from joy. It was stuffy, smelled of Febreze, everything was dusty, the bar stool collapsed under me when I sat down, and the bathroom door had diarrhea-like stains on the outside. Disgusting, I will not sleep in such a room! A stuffy hole to the equally dirty backyard. The nice gentleman at the reception acted surprised but willingly gave us another room on the 2nd. Floor facing the front. Here, the sun seemed to shine a bit brighter through the dirty windows, and the bed sheets actually looked freshly changed, although the mattress underneath seemed to have seen better days. No one had cleaned under the toilet seat for a long time, at least not before our arrival. Fortunately, we were able to buy disinfectant at the train station even on Sundays. I do not understand what one is supposed to do with the kitchenette without pots, dishes, and cutlery. You typically do not have such things in your suitcase. Had it been available, I certainly would not have used it. The advertised breakfast was extraordinarily poor and resembled that of a youth hostel. How these photos were taken for the website is a mystery to me. Overwhelmed, poorly trained staff, lukewarm coffee from the thermos, and at 9:10 AM, still 5 slices of cheese left. The cucumber slices were very dry and obviously from the day before. The mixture of oats, water, and applesauce packed in jars was supposed to represent some kind of overnight muesli. Chalk-white rolls and scrambled eggs from a carton rounded off the poor breakfast offering. Cutlery was only available upon request, even though we had already been sitting at the table for 10 minutes. From day 2, we went to the city for breakfast. It is outrageous to offer something like this as a 4-star hotel. This is a scam and deserves to be rated much lower. I am very upset and now understand why we were charged immediately upon arrival. It is truly a shame because we really liked Leipzig. Now, this bitter aftertaste of a dirty, overpriced accommodation remains. I cannot rate it any better. We spared ourselves the last night in the hotel. We departed on the late train. We were not asked why we were leaving early when checking out. This probably happens more often...

Not recommended.
This hotel does not deserve four stars, at most two. No bar or lounge area at the reception. Rooms are dirty, mattresses do not fit in the bed frames (too low), lighting in the room and bathroom is like with candles, shower is too small (60x80) and in need of renovation (no drain cover, cabin leaks + silicone smeared, calcium deposits, ceiling ventilation blocked), unnecessarily large kitchenette but the bathroom is small.
Breakfast buffet has no extra cutlery for exchange, room service cart looks like it belongs to a homeless person (I would be embarrassed as a hotel), the room service is absolutely unprofessional, all windows are dirty.....
I cannot recommend it despite its proximity to the train station!!!!!
