My first choice in Dortmund - location, location, location
The NH in Dortmund is located right next to the Dortmund main train station. The building is well secured at night, and there is also a very strict electronic access control using a room card in the elevator. Thus, an appealing domicile for business and leisure travelers alike, which can impress with its balanced breakfast offer (Sundays until 12 p.m.) and good value for money.
The hotel has an appealing room product. Most rooms are over 35 square meters in size. But what really makes the hotel special. It sounds like a cliché and is hard to prove, but it really is the employees! They are very well trained, friendly across the board, and because of that, the hotel also has incredibly strong manpower. One gets the impression that these individuals enjoy performing their job. Special requests are also implemented in detail and promptly.
The fly in the ointment: of the two elevators that exist (with 190 rooms, in my opinion, that is already too few), one elevator was broken. This led to partly chaotic scenes and very long waiting times. The problem was not resolved (at least during my stay). But I think the hotel is working on it. In some places, the room was cleaned a bit too superficially.

SHORT STAY BUT VERY NICE IN EVERY WAY.
During our tour of Germany, we stayed at this hotel from March 31, 2026 to March 1, 2026. We were assigned room 326 (Photos attached).
Since we went with only in Bed and Breakfast, when we arrived, the guides of our route told us that very close to the hotel there are shops, supermarkets Restaurants, and various establishments to eat and drink, and we found that everything was very close to the same hotel, without any loss.
We found a great room in every way, both in comfort and also space and tranquility. Although it is next to a train station, we do not know if because we were very tired or not, but you do not hear any noise from outside that may be caused by trains. That fact did not disturb our sleep.
The 2 beds are very comfortable although for me the pillows are very very soft and even if you put 2 the sleeping posture is not what I am usually used to (Too horizontal, without the head being a little incorporated).
As soon as I say that we find a GREAT ROOM, I also mean its grandeur in space. As soon as you enter you will see that it has a large living room, or living area with its corresponding set of sofa, large wardrobe tables etc. The TV is on a wall that overlooks the living room and the room. Depending on where you want to watch it, you turn the TV and you can watch it either in the living room or when you are lying or lying in the same bed. The bathroom is also very spacious with its corresponding bathtub, Amenities, etc. One detail also of note is that in the bathroom we can also find a type of dressing room.
The breakfast buffet of the hotel we can also say is very good in quality.
Even if we only spent one night, we want to thank all the staff of the hotel for having everything very clean and cared for, and for their kindness and also for having made us feel very special during our very short stay at this hotel. (Since we had to follow our tour through Germany.)

Everything was great

We could not have found it any better
My wife and I went to a congress at the Westfalenhalle and chose to stay overnight at the NH Dortmund. Everything was right, even though some surprising and unwanted things definitely happened in the group. From the inquiry to the booking for three rooms that we needed, the response was quick and friendly. The question of whether I could drive into the underground garage with a roof rack was answered quickly and satisfactorily. Checking in with a few special requests was quick, competent, and very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was varied; everything was right. One of the couples had someone come down with a slipped disc. The request to check out later, because the group would not return from the congress until the afternoon, was accommodated. We could not have encountered better service. A super team. Thank you. We will come back.
