Sustainable, natural-simple, organic, in the countryside - a great hotel concept!
You immediately notice that this hotel operates sustainably and thus very differently than usual. What is astonishing is how affordable it is nevertheless kept. What you get here in terms of high-quality organic food - from the spread to the main menu - is incredible. A quiet forest hut surrounded by greenery, friendly service, excellent cuisine, gladly again!

Very outdated hotel, does not smell fresh and facilities are below par.
If you serve a buffet, there should be plenty of choice. There certainly wasn't. Insufficient bread at breakfast and also the evening buffet was more of a canteen meal without choice.

Slow down starts at the breakfast buffet, but only if you like glasses!
The review of the predecessor about the "HOTEL"!, refined with a funny whistle, can only be underlined. Starting from the reception, to the unloveliness of the interior and exterior, only we counted 12 glasses at the breakfast buffet :). Service 0 and not to forget everything in self-service - "is known". Sorry, I unfortunately overlooked this when Booking Referral. It boasts full, seasonal and fresh cuisine. The many glasses on the breakfast buffet, which you can get all year round in the health food store, decorated it especially in line with the season. Of the great weekly markets of the region and its great variety of the season, nothing to see. Not even a heather flower as decoration on the edge of the food offered. Buns from the regional baker?, why is the refilled amount warm. Did the baker actually bring them fresh out of the oven? Kettle available, but where to go with the water? Toothbrush cup - misrepresentation. That would be the corona pads. We thought we'd put that behind us for a few months. What are all the other hotels doing wrong, because there are toothbrush cups, even a glass and sometimes water in the room. Criticism was voiced but came to nothing. Well the weekly fasting groups, which you can book there, will fix it again. They also had a nice manager (the only friendly employee in the whole house) and special food. Conclusion: Fast money, with the wrong poster boy. Here you probably only find the very hard BIO ́s you like. I stick to my seasonal, self-prepared garden food and my garden shed, where we find more organic and deceleration than the whole 5 days in the Spöktal.

Asceticism and deceleration
The total shutdown starts as soon as you enter the hotel. The smell of food reveals that the dinner buffet will take place – if you arrive in time. The professional reception saves the put-on friendliness of other hotels and explains briefly, concisely and precisely what happens as here. On the way to the room, the kitchen smell, which has since grown stronger, stimulates the imagination: What could be that smells so intense?
On the way to the room, neither images nor colors distract from the right path – cool clarity ensures that you quickly clear the hallway. The (family) room invites peace and contemplation – no picture, no curtain, no decorative item disturbs the eye, everything is focused on the original purpose of the bedchamber, and no mirror seduces to complacent contemplation. The reduction to essentials continues in the frugal furniture, and the uncovered third bed underlines the monastic barrenness of the cell. The philosophy of the monastic is also implemented in the bath. All the useless little things that female guests in particular often use to fill the shelves remain outside, because there are no shelves. The narrow glass pane under the single mirror is enough for the essentials: Toothbrushes, toothpaste and nail file. Toothbrush mugs and drinking glasses are available in the restaurant.
The evening buffet booked as half board teaches the guest punctuality, because after just over twenty minutes the only meat dish, after half an hour also the only vegetarian dish at the end. You don’t have to wait until you arrive, ... Also the presentation of salad and dessert bowl follows the maxim of the house: Monastic rigour clears the mind. This continues with the breakfast buffet: If you want to indulge in gluttony despite the consistently loveless presentation of sausage, cheese, cucumber slices, tomato clefts and felt fifty glasses of spreads, all you have to do after searching for dishes and cutlery and setting your table is queue up in front of the only coffee machine, then the feast can begin. Although the numerous stains on the granite slabs of the terrace disturb contemplation, children learn how to handle food and cutlery better here than on the carpet at home.

More hostel than hotel. Organic yes, whole food no.
In terms of concept, well thought out in a large forest area, there was a slight lack of implementation. The extensive complex is biologically quite valuable, unfortunately the forest houses are in a not very well maintained condition. The decor is extremely spartan, the cleanliness also left something to be desired.
The touted breakfast presented itself as a youth hostel level. Two kinds of sausage (two days the same), a cheese platter that you could still see the packaging of the slices, three kinds were stacked on a plate and nothing appealing was served at all. Organic spreads in a jar with a spoon. Everything left much to be desired. No wholemeal bread available. Only white flour products rolls/bread. Fresh cucumber, nothing else. The used dishes should then be cleared accordingly even yourself, no trace of the staff.
Organic may be, but spartan, and definitely not full-fledged.
The price-performance ratio is not suitable in our opinion!
