Spontaneous decision after a busy day to let us pamper ourselves in a restaurant.
Since we live in the immediate vicinity, and there are only a few technically sophisticated restaurants in this area Mood, as well as qualitatively there is only a very modest offer, we had spontaneously decided today once again for the Prince of Bismarck Mill.
My wife and I were very positively surprised.
Since we had not reserved we were offered the “last available” table, right at the front door. Isn't it fancy, but also speaks for the restaurant when everything is reserved. (In this case, I guess genuinely) . After the explanation of the map we were offered a nicer place as this became available. We were asked if we would like to take a more pleasant place.
Which we did. We were advised very honestly about the courts and we decided accordingly. It was all fine. Service 5+, food quality 4-5, prices 4-5, Mood 4- 5. So really great. Thank you very much for the wonderful evening! We will come back. Greetings - Wolfgang and Bettina from Wohltorf

Never again
We were at the restaurant on January 17, 2026. We were 4 people. I have to say unfortunately no food was okay. I had roasted salmon with Papardelle der Salmon wat and therefore hardly edible. So is the Skrei. The fried black salsify, well. Then the roast deer totally dry and the dumplings hard as concrete. Poularden's breast was just so lala. It was also all very lovelessly arranged. It was also all completely overpriced. Our conclusion: Never again!!

Absolute danger with special diets
‼️ ABSOLUTE WARNING WITH SPECIAL DIET! !!️
We visited the restaurant at 38th Street. Week of pregnancy.
In addition to the clearly visible pregnancy abdomen, they also talked to selected service personnel about pregnancy.
A dish that was not marked with alcohol within the menu was served to a pregnant woman without comment.
On request, as our own senses of taste are doing their job, we found that the service staff have no idea about the ingredients. “Um, I don’t think so, after all, the court is for children.” We weren’t enough and asked for a more detailed explanation.
After a long back and forth, it was then ascertained that alcohol was present in the preparation form, which was just not marked, let alone could be communicated by the service personnel in advance.
There is no one on site who can take responsibility for the situation.
Instead, a phrase like “Yes, but it’s not that much”, “They’re in the wrong address with me anyway”, was met until a somewhat more diplomatic colleague took up the situation but unfortunately could not do anything relevant.
As if that weren't enough, comes
Meanwhile, a service worker and wants to pour alcohol over the dessert served. The same service person took the order, which was ordered EXPLICITLY WITHOUT ALCOHOL, and was also present at the “chat” about the pregnancy.
Our recommendation for special dietary features, be it intolerances or individual or medical decisions:
A HUGE bow should be made around this restaurant if you want to ensure your own health. The lack of identification on the map and the lack of competence of the service personnel create supposedly dangerous situations that everyone wants to avoid.

Restaurant not recommended
We were with family and children for lunch (table was ordered before)
1 1/2 hours we had to wait for food. 6 other guests who arrived with us were finished with the food before we were served the main course. The food itself was unfortunately only mediocre and too expensive for what was offered. Too bad - the ambience was very nice and had more to expect.

Kale platter and soup a complete disaster
I was there with my girlfriend on February 22, 2025 for dinner. We ordered the classic kale menu. First there was a potato soup with crusty bread, then a kale plate with sweet potatoes, and a dessert. I was very disappointed. The soup just tasted like stock cubes, was totally salty. You didn't taste anything, but you didn't taste anything of potatoes. I was shocked that for the money (after all €49.00 without drinks) you get such a cheaply made soup. Then the kale plate. A little piece of Kasseler, totally tough. That was probably the cheapest meat from the discount store. I've never eaten so bad and tough Kasseler. The scalding sausage was ok, that this is very salty, is well known. We left the piece of belly bacon, this one is just for the taste. The kale - I've never eaten such a salted and boiled kale, full of fat pieces. Then the best - it seemed to us that this was canned kale! The kale was completely cooked, mega cut (this is only available for canned kale) and was a single fat pill. The only thing that was good was dessert. My girlfriend and I had 2 kg more on the scale the next day because we had to drink about 2 liters after eating to quench our thirst. I'm shocked how bad the food was. I come from Hamburg, there is a pub in the street that offers homemade kale in January / February. The kale from my pub is a gourmet meal against the kale from the Bismarck mill. I have never eaten such poorly prepared kale/meat in my entire life. And such a lousy soup! A cheek! Never again!
