Not bad, but you may want to think twice
The location is less than 2km from the local train station, but be aware that if you are arriving on the weekend like I did, that there is limited bus/ taxi service from the Ackarren train station. I walked to and from the station several times after 7:30 am when daylight strikes, but anything before 7am or after 6pm is a no go. It will be pitch black outside, and there is no way that one can walk to the hotel. When I first arrived, I arrived after 6pm on a Sunday, and was at the train station looking out towards a pitch black road...I am thankful that I was able to walk to a local business, and they were able to give me a ride..Dont let this happen to you..When I arrived the room was ice cold like a refrigerator, and it stayed like that for most of the trip. If you are a business traveler, dont think about using the computer for anything (the one that is in the lobby/meeting room area) because the owners son is playing worlds of warcraft or some video game all day and night. Additionally, his son places a note on the computer (which is in a public area of the hotel) saying do not use because this is my private computer. They have Wifi, but not in the rooms...You have to use it in the resteraunt area, or the space where the owners son is playing world of warcrafts all day and night...Again, I you speak only English, you may want to stay at another hotel..

Neu umgebaute Zimmer in charmantem Weinort.
Nette Wirtsleute und schöne Umgebung. Auch im Restaurant kann man gut und typisch badisch Essen.
In den letzten Jahren wurden alle Zimmer neu umgebaut und mit neuen Bädern ausgestattet. Das Gebäude ist zwar etwas verwinkelt hat aber seinen Charme behalten.

Kleines familiengeführtes Hotel in guter Lage am Kaiserstuhl
Die Zimmer einfach, sehr sauber und das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig.
Die Inhaber sind sehr hilfsbereit, helfen bei der Planung von Wanderungen und stellen auch die Wanderverpflegung gegen ein kleines Entgelt zur Verfügung.
Das Restaurant im Haus, das nicht von den Hotelinhabern betrieben wird, ist sehr empfehlenswert.
Die (sehr empfehlenswerte) Winzergenossenschaft ist direkt nebenan.

Mit eine Gruppe von 8 Personen und unser Hund einige Tage gewesen.
Parkplätze sind nicht soviel vorhanden, aber vieles werd gutgemacht durch die sehr freundlichen Bedienung und das gute Essen! Unserer Hund wird so verwohnt durch die Inhaberin, das siet man selten, Sie war einfach verrückt von Ihm!
