Good area, nice room also good breakfast but the reception is in 2nd floor, breakfast area in 5th and there is No lift.

A hidden gem!

This hotel is in the heart of Thamel, close to shops, restaurants, the palace, the Garden of Dreams, and a longer walk or a short taxi ride to Swayambhunath and Durbar Square. It’s a great place to stay with a young family: there’s lots of do nearby.
Our room was clean and quiet. Everything was in good working order.
The staff were really kind and helped us plan trips, book taxis, and gave us tips for activities with our child.
The breakfast was delicious!

Great value hotel in the centre of Thamel

Great hotel in the tourist centre of Thamel. Super friendly and helpful staff make Hotel Namtso feel safe and welcoming. My brother and I stayed here several times during our trip and we always looked forward to staying in the big, quiet rooms with comfy beds & great showers - especially after trekking in the mountains or wandering the Kathmandu streets. Also serves fantastic food on the rooftop restaurant - big breakfasts and superb curries were amongst the dishes we tried.

Great location, exceptional staff, food on the terrace was a bonus loved the view

I arrived as a solo woman traveller at Hotel Namsto in rough shape and felt very taken care of and safe. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. Breakfast, which is included, was delicious and served on the terrace. They also had a good menu of many items all the food was excellent! It was a perfect spot to rest and recuperate after a long journey. I would recommend staying at Hotel Namtso, it had lots of charm and great value and qualities I was looking for. The kind staff, great food and location were definitely a selling point for me.
