Fantastic!!! Really highly recommended!
This location, tent and view were totally top! Super friendly staff and very helpful! You park the car downstairs and a driver will take you up the mountain with suitcases and all.We would definitely go here again.

Could Be Better
I stayed here as part of a tour package. The views from the hotel were impressive but the rooms themselves were unimpressive. They were very hot during the day with only a fan to cool you. While the views from the pool area were nice, the pool itself was very small and there was a climb to get there. The hotel food was okay, but because of the hotel location, you really had no choice but to eat there. No complaints about the staff they were friendly and helpful.
I was also unimpressed by the wildlife around here. I went on a safari ride tour and spent a half day watching a single elephant.
While other Namibia hotels I stayed in may not have had as nice a hilltop view, they had nicer rooms and much better food.

We are sorry to learn that certain aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Our lodge is situated in a remote natural setting, allowing guests to experience the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding landscape. Due to our remote location, we operate entirely off-grid using a solar power system. While this allows us to minimize our environmental impact, it does place certain limitations on the types of cooling systems that can be installed in our rooms. Beautiful Lodge with Desert Elephants Tour
We stayed here 2 nights as a guest and left very excitedly! At first the location was incredible for us...in the middle of nowhere...quiet and secluded in the middle of the mountain among the stones!
The tents are functionally furnished, but very warm during the day (at 35 degrees outside temperature), as there is only one fan. That didn’t bother US any more, because we don’t have a topic with heat, just know!
If you walk up the mountain where the lodge is located, you will find the pool, the bar and a great view of the Ugab River, which even had water!
There are many activities on offer. We decided on the day tour 7:30-about 14:00, including lunch) and the Sundowner tour. We actually found the desert elephants and had a very romantic place for the sundowner! Both highly recommended !
Breakfast was very extensive for us and for dinner there were 4 courses, all of which tasted great.
The specials: the shower water is heated in the morning by means of a wood stove and you can get tea or coffee on the terrace in the morning to enjoy the morning from there!
We are very happy to have chosen this lodge!

Worth a visit
We stayed here two nights as part of the loop-drive in Namibia. The setting is very beautiful and peaceful. The staff are friendly and helpful. Compared with other lodges, the food was ok but not top-notch. The tent-hut was very comfortable; the cool evenings helped. Pick a tent with a view like #10, 11, or 12. The main shortcoming of Ondjamba Hills is that aside from the view there is not that much to see or do that is interesting. The wildlife is minimal; we saw more wild animals in Sesriem. And there are other parks with lots of animals. It is too hot for hiking. So for us this became a place to relax after a rather intense 2 weeks of activities, and for this Ondjamba Hills was great.

Glamping Done Right at Ondjamba Hills
We stayed at Ondjamba Hills for one night. The tents themselves are in great shape, super comfortable, and clearly looked after with care. It never felt run-down or worn out, more like everything had just been put together yesterday.
The setup is clever: you get the feeling of camping without losing the comfort of proper beds, showers, and a space that actually feels private. I really liked how the camp blends into the surroundings instead of standing out awkwardly.
The team running the place deserves a mention too. Everyone was warm and welcoming, always around if you needed something but never hovering. It felt very personal without being over the top. It feels remote and wild, but we never once felt unsafe.
Food-wise, we were surprised in the best way. No buffets here – you order from a menu, and they actually ask about allergies or food preferences in advance. Every meal we had was excellent, both in taste and in how it was presented. Drinks were fairly priced.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind: the tents, as comfortable as they are, don’t block out all noise or light. It didn’t bother us, but light sleepers might notice. And in the middle of the night, they light the outdoor stoves, so sometimes the smoke drifts inside. We noticed the smell in our clothes afterwards, but that was the only small downside.
All in all, Ondjamba Hills turned out to be a real highlight of our trip. It’s peaceful, beautifully kept, and has that mix of nature and comfort that makes you want to stay longer. We’d definitely come back if we’re ever in Namibia again.
