Bad experience with payment

Hotel service was good but payment was pickpocketing. Didn't expect credit card and not cash dollar just Myanmar money and changing it very low if you have Myanmar money didn't expect it.

Unsatisfied

Poor communication skill of staffs.
Average services.
Hot water tap didn't function well.
Room lock is by card system and the card fail to open the door when we get back from outside. The reception said that it was the system error and they didn't take any responsibility for it.

Poor Service

The staff did not speak good English which made it hard to communicate. The bath towels were practically rags and not fit for guests. After using a towel to wipe dirt off a shoe, the hotel tried to charge me $30 to replace the towel. Absurd!
The rooms were average, nothing special. The hotel appeared very old but in a decent location. The breakfast was ok. Recommend staying elsewhere.

As old as usual

I stayed several time there started from 2003.My last visit on January 16 and checked out on 17 at room 125, building #2.Reason for I stayed this hotel was centrally located,easy to go everywhere,big car parking,friendly staff and wide space rooms before. But owner didn't want to use his profit for room renovation. My room air con indoor unit was changed to yellowish as older sign. All bed sheet,pillow cases,towels seem never met with bleaching detergent. So likely as rag colour. Towel rack from bathroom was broken,that's while I put my towel on near basin when took a shower. Bath tub flowing installation also wrong direction. If I turned to red side,very cold water flown in January cold season night. Similarly turn to blue side,flown warm water as well. During my stay,TV was didn't proper working. So I called technical guy for inspection. Worst thing was other guy knocking the door 2 times as wrong room number .Room rate was not reasonable price for older room and old amenities. Please choose other hotel for your comfort stay in Mandalay.

Not satisfied

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times. When started staying at that hotel back in 2011, it was very good. The breakfast buffet was good and the room were great. But lately the room are no longer up to their standard and breakfast foods taste terrible. The toilet in th bathroom has flashing problem and airconditioner in some rooms are not working proeprly. And the free wifi is very poor unuseable.
