Great hotel for layover near airport

After our late arrival very friendly received by the staff. Hotel is a bit seedy, mainly the carpet in the hallways. The ants in the room also contributed to this. Otherwise fine but not special. Breakfast was ok. In case of a late arrival a fine option to crash, in all other cases I would not go here again.

A mixed bag experience

Great location! Free airport shuttle which is a big plus. Very neat & comfy rooms. Service a mixed bag, from very friendly (booking out in the morning) to merely functional (booking in) to sullen (shuttle driver). There's a good restaurant with good meals in the hotel though it lacks atmosphere.
They forgot my wakeup call for a very early flight which could have been a huge mishap. Luckily I woke up with my alarm but for an early flight backup from the hotel is essential and was requested. I shudder to think of the implications had I missed my flight, and then the next 2 flights!

Ideal cheap hotel 10 min. Airport. Everything spacious and clean!

Bath. The staff very friendly. To the airport 10 min. With taxi free shuttle.

Forget El Minzah. Ben Batouta is the Best.

This was my 4th stay at Ben Batouta and it was as brilliant as ever. The hotel has remained excellent in every aspect. There are some new members of staff but they still provide excellent customer service. At reception they have 2 new members Malek and Nossayer who were friendly and helpful. Hanane the front desk manager is still there and is as brilliant as ever. Friendly service with a smile. Thank you Hanane. Aissam the reservations manager was on holiday but still managed to look after my booking and a big Thank You to you Aissam.
In the kitchen, Othman is still there with a new manager Hicham. Anas is also new and very helpful. All of the team looked after me and my wife. One day my wife had to leave at 5.00 am and they provided a packed breakfast of bread, cheese and cakes.
I also met the Director of the hotel who is super friendly and asked how my stay was going.
And on my last day the hotel mini bus took me to the airport so need to worry about getting a taxi.
It’s cold and dark here in the middle of November, in London. I am already booking my flights with British Airways and will be in touch with Aissam to book my room at the hotel.
All in all a fantastic 5 * experience.
