Living with a Berber family

For those who like simplicity and familiar environments, Kasbah Abdou is the place to stay.
In addition to 6 bedrooms with communal lounge and private bathrooms my highlight goes to traditional troglodytes rooms excavated in the rock.
Friendliness and attention to guests are the main features of mountain guide/owner Abdou, his wife Rachida and the Kasbah team that will take care of you from beginning to the end of vacation. The food is traditional, very good and with quality and now Abdou has a new bakery so the freshly baked bread is simply delicious.
This location is also the perfect spot to go hiking in the Atlas region, Mgoun, Dades Valley, Saghro and desert.
Prices are very fair for the service that is provided. I recommend it without reservation and I'll stay again in Kasbah Abdou in a next opportunity.

Abdou & family will make your visit to South-Marocco unforgettable

We hired Abdou for a first time in 2010 as our guide for a trekking and hiking of the Toubkal atlas mountain and surroundings. As this is located close to Marakesh and far from his Kasbah we didn't get here back then.
In april 2013 we went for a similar hike with his cook and mule-team through the 'gorges et vallée rose' and for a night in the most beautiful sand dunes of the Sahara. This time his brother Touhami was our guide. Again a genuine and positive experience. Abdou is running his 'trek abdou' company for many years. Very trustworthy - don't expect luxury, but real authentic Maroccan family feel hospitality you cannot find with big touring companies.
The kasbah itself was the starting/end point of this trip. It is plain and simple ok. Homemade delicious food as well. Nice walking through the village gardens near the river.
A few words (or more :-) of French are very helpful traavelling through Marocco.
If it is your first travel to Marocco -> maybe don't forget to fly in some wine in your luggage if you like a glas :-)

Para um optimo inicio de ferias

a comida é fantastica e os quartos trogloditas são bastante engraçados. Casas de banho sempre limpas. Tem tambem quartos individuais e "casas" com dois quartos .Todos muito simpaticos e sempre dispostos a ajudar.
