A nice riad with great views

Getting here was a bit of a hassle as a landslide made the road inaccessible and we had to walk a couple of k's. The riad had arranged for assistance with our luggage, so this wasn't a huge problem. Fortunately, the same assistance helped get our luggage up the 100+ steps and stairs to our room. The welcoming cup of tea was a nice touch, The location is good - a relatively easy walk down to the medina.
The room was lovely, large and airy with great views, in classical Moroccan style. It was comfortably furnished which led to a great night's sleep. A good breakfast completed a pleasant stay

A great property.

My husband and I stayed at this riad for two nights, and it was truly a wonderful stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were kind and helpful, and the riad is located near the old medina of Chefchaouen.
I highly recommend this place!

Arrival with obstacles and disappointment

The hotel is not accessible by car as the road has collapsed since January 2026. Unfortunately, my agency's hotel didn't let me know in advance that it was essential to call beforehand to have someone meet me down the street. An unpleasant experience with false porters and the unfriendly uninterest of the receptionist then unfortunately marked my arrival negatively.
The hotel has a very nice complex with garden and pool. The view of Chefchauoen is heavenly:)
The breakfast room is old and not very clean, and the staff is not necessarily present and friendly.
The choice of food for breakfast is limited, whereas meals in the Dining Room are very good in the evening.

Beautiful town - ok hotel

Chefchouan is a beautiful town to visit. The colors are amazing. However I would suggest arriving mid morning, taking a tour and having lunch then driving on to your your next destination. The available places to stay the night are just not great. Also
Chefchouan has a very large population of gangs of dogs that bark and howl all night making it difficult to sleep - and I really mean noise all night long.
It is a shame the noise and lack of nice accommodations prevent an enjoyable overnight experience.
We had a room with a lovely view of the town and a very nice dinner and breakfast but did not have a good night’s sleep due to the barking howling dogs.
