The most perfect place in Fes!
I just returned from the most wonderful trip to Riad Le Calife and cannot recommend it enough. The Riad is tucked away but in a perfect location minutes walk from the medina and it’s a beautiful, peaceful oasis with every area, room and part decorated so tastefully whilst being spotlessly clean. It’s decorated with beautiful Morrocon decor that gives it such an authentic feel and providing excellent interior design ideas!
The staff are all smiley, kind and extremely attentive, always checking is you need anything and delivering drinks to wherever you are. Yasmine and Alex make you feel so at home, and give brilliant recommendations and suggestions and directions so you visit all the best places and learn a lot about the area.
The food and roof top is a highlight, Fatima’s cooking it’s delicious alongside an amazing breakfast.
A wonderful, special place in Fes, we will be back very soon - thank you for having us!

Super Riad! Highly recommended.
Le Calife is a very special Riad with a lot of attention to the tasteful interior and our suite exceeded our expectations.
Alex and Yasmine provided a warm welcome with many helpful tips The staff was extremely helpful with parking the car.
The meals of Fatima were a feast, especially the chicken with Trid (a super thin pasta) was the best of our trip!
In short: Highly recommended!

Hidden gem oasis in the medina
Tucked away in the winding alleys of the ancient medina, Riad Le Calife is an absolutely perfect escape from the bustling streets outside. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel like cherished family rather than paying guests. The riad itself is breathtaking — cool mosaic courtyards, fragrant orange trees, and rooms that blend traditional Moroccan craftsmanship with just enough modern comfort. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was honestly the highlight of our days in Fes, with homemade pastries and fresh-squeezed juice that we still talk about months later. The hosts went out of their way to recommend hidden gems in the medina that no guidebook would ever mention, and their warmth felt completley genuine. If you are planning a trip to Fes and want to stay somewhere that actually feels like the heart of the city rather than a sanitized hotel experience, this is the place. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

A beautiful oasis in the medina with the loveliest hosts
A special place in the medina, a little oasis which the owners Yasmine and Alex make feel like a home from home. As soon as we booked we had a note from Yasmine welcoming us and seeing how she could help our trip and it was great to get a transfer to the Riad as it would have been tricky to find on our own. She also recommended a guide to the medina for an afternoon - while we usually like to wander on our own we were really glad we took Yasmine’s advice as the medina in Fes is like a labyrinth and we would never have seen all we did without Youssef’s excellent help. Yasmine’s thoughtfulness is wonderful - we decided on lunch near the Blue Gate and when she realised this she messaged to see if better for Youssef to meet us there rather than us going back to the Riad to meet him - it’s just an example of the thoughtful personal touch that she brought to our stay.
The Riad shows the love and care Yasmine and Alex have poured into restoring and furnishing it - with antiques and quirky finds creating lots of spaces to sit and relax from the shady courtyard to different seating spaces around the Riad. We had the Diamond suite which was spacious and beautiful with a large bathroom and sitting area.
The whole team go out of their way to make your stay special - so thanks to Mohammed, Said and Douaa as well.
I hope that we will be lucky enough to make our way back to Riad Le Califfe one day!

Wow! There are so many good things to say. First of all, everyone at Riad Le Calife was above and beyond in kindness and hospitality. Alex and Yasmine were such great hosts who gave us great insight to Fes and even supported us with obtaining a bag we left behind in the Sahara Desert!! Mohamed helped us get taxis, find nearby toothbrushes and toiletries (due to our temporarily displaced bag), and kindly hosted us at the riad's amazing restaurant upstairs (Fatima is an excellent chef, by the way). Beyond the amazing people, the space itself is incredible. Beautifully designed with an amazing view of the city. What a special place to spend part of our honeymoon. We hope to come back!
