Rooms filled with cockroaches, unfriendly staff.

We stayed here for one night and regretted it from the moment we arrived. Firstly, there is a very unfriendly and uninterested lady at the reception so you don't feel welcome at all. She is not even talking to your face, there is a window in between and you have to slide your money underneath to pay for your stay.. Then we got to the room and were "welcomed" there by several cockroaches. Then the bathroom was very small and there were still supplies from the previous guest. Not clean at all.
Lastly, we had booked this hostel via Booking and received a mail later in which Miri Budget Inn stated that we never checked in. Booking was asking us to verify this. I guess MBI hostel didn't want to pay the due commission to them. Very strange. We really recommend other travellers to STAY AWAY from Miri Budget Inn, there is nothing good about this place!!

Recommended

Strategic, easy access as shop nearby, and cheap. Don't expect too much in the room while you pay average MYR55 per night. Please bring along your own toiletries. Hair dryer and iron boards available upon request. #lookaround
