A pleasant surprise:)

HI Suzanne form OZ here. This place is run differently to what I am used to, there are different companies that manage different parts of the building, a little confusing at first, but no drama. My experience was different to the negative comments I have seen which would not have been directed to the lovely Marmoud who runs a great business, better to ring him directly to book +601121141713 on WhatsApp.... I stayed 5 nights in September 2019. I am a solo senior traveler and I had a great stay, Marmoud made me feel very safe, and recommended his favorite restaurant not that far away from the hotel, Syrian House the best food ever!!!! My studio apartment was immaculate with great views not blocked by other buildings. OK breky and yes book in early for the pool.
You must visit Beryaya times square, it has a theme park and a 48 lane bowing ally, its a must see, also the Optometrist you see when you walk in the main entrance, take your prescription or they use your glasses, I had mine shipped back and checked by my optometrist, exactly the same prescription.Thank you Marmoud :)

This place is trash.

Everything about this place was terrible from the start. The rooms were filthy, stains on the sheets, sand all over the bed (not even near a beach, where did the sand come from??), bugs and ants on the floors, the room smelled of smoke, the list goes on and on. When telling the staff and “operators “ about this, they smiled and did next to nothing about it. They tried to offer us complimentary breakfast but we had already paid for breakfast so we got nothing. The breakfast was cold, like they had put it in the microwave to thaw it out but didn’t leave it in for long enough. Cold potatoes, eggs, and sausage, it was gross. You have to sign up to go to the rooftop pool that they post so many pictures of. And the wait to go up was over THREE HOURS!!! When we finally got up there, we couldn’t believe it... there was all of about 6 people there!! They were making people wait for multiple hours to go up to a huge pool that could accommodate at least 25 guests. And they were only allowing 8 people to be there at a time. Unbelievable. Finally, booking.com screwed us too. We thought we were getting a good deal on our stay only to learn upon arrival that the website had hidden about $35 in extra fees that had to be paid when we got there. I will never use that website or go to this property again. Be warned people. Always use hotels.com!!!
