I have no idea why this property has such a low rating. It is a budget accommodation ffs. Rooms aren’t new, but clean, shower has good pressure and hot water, staff is smiling and helpful, speed of internet is enough for general use, like YouTube.
I suspect that people hat choose this place are so poor that expect 5* hotel for this money. This is the cheapest in Male, this isn’t Thailand or Kuala Lumpur.
Why would you try to hurt this business is beyond me.
Don’t look at it through your cheap fake ray bans. Have a broader view, and remember where you are. Be greatful a bit.

Terrible hotel in Male
Photos speak louder than words. Had two rooms booked, one ok although overpriced for $70. Other, same booking type, given a room with black mold and non working bathroom. Staff are friendly, but in the end a hotel is judged from it's worst rooms, not the one of two that they might have painted.

Really poor
Room is very poor and dirt, bathroom is ugly.
Very noisy place and very high price compared to the really low quality of the hotel.
Personel is not kind and not willing to help so much. We paid a price higher than the Booking price and the receptionist didn’t gave is a clear explanation of the reason

Off day disaster!!
Not worth the rates, Most rooms are old & worn out, some even have mold, some aren't even with Hot shower option, just so bad that it is totally not worth the prices!
Highest priced rooms are almost at an average conditions but which is also not worth it!

Worst hotel in Male'
This is my second visit to this property. I have never had such a terrible experience in my life. I have made the decision to stay here again after a year. I was thinking that things could change now.
I was scheduled to have a medical appointment at 10:00am. I arrived at the hotel around 8:30. Since I'm also working at a 5-star property in the Maldives, I was very aware of the check-in and check-out times.
I went to the reception and asked the receptionist if it is possible to check in now. His response was extremely rude. No, I can't wait for one hour. I said no problem, but I really want to use the restroom now. He said 'go and use the restaurant's bathroom'. I quietly left the place and came back after 1 hour 30 minutes . I met one old lady (maybe the manager) who was sitting at the reception.
I asked her if the room is ready? She said the room is not ready and our check-in time is at 12:00. I told her that I am aware of the check-in time, but the guy who was here before asked me to come after an hour. She mentioned that the room won't be ready right now and my staff will clean it, which will take roughly 2 hours.
I was really upset by the way she responded to me. She was distracted by playing her phone without even looking at me.
I asked why you didn't inform me earlier so that I wouldn't have to waste my time here. She initiated a rude conversation with me and requested me to complete the check-in process. I made the decision to leave the place. I don't think she has any expertise in hospitality or how to communicate with their customers.
As I mentioned, I had a very bad experience during my previous stay at this hotel.
The staff is smoking on the stairs.
The beds are outdated and the bed sheets were filled with spots and holes.
The staff is unfriendly towards their customers. Especially the lady ( manager I guess ).
The air conditioner is not working properly.
The smell of the room is reminiscent of old wooden furniture.
I will never visit this place and I would not recommend anyone to stay here.
