we'll be back.

We had booked for 2 nights for the WE from 15 August to the last moment: we were made a more than correct proposal, with an affordable price in 1/2 board.Quiet hotel, well located ,room with large terrace and fridge (presence of a coffee machine but no kettle), very clean, good bedding.Indoor/outdoor pool with SPA, and bar.Game room with pinball, baby/football, bowling, etc...
Very good restaurants (several decors) with terrace , according to everyone's tastes, fresh and delicious products.Beautiful wine list.A little downside regarding the Speed of Service, a little long at times.
Very good bar, with a wide variety of products, quiet with Mood music.

Shockingly disappointing – lack of hygiene, missing rules, and no sense of wellness.

The hotel has a pool and a spa/sauna area. The only positives are the friendly reception at the front desk and the service at the pool bar – unfortunately, that was already the main point.
What has massively disappointed and honestly shocked us are the missing hygiene standards, lack of rules, and the generally unkempt condition of the wellness area.
Guests were already walking around the pool area in street shoes. At the same time, there was more of a public pool atmosphere rather than a relaxing one: screaming children, music from phones, and no visible supervision or enforcement of rules regarding quietness and hygiene.
The sauna area itself is a complete disaster. It is completely unclear whether textile or non-textile use is intended – clear signs or rules are entirely absent. Hygiene standards seem to be practically non-existent.
Particularly alarming: During our entire stay of about five hours, not a single cleaning or disinfection occurred. Neither the floors, seating areas, nor wet areas were visibly treated with fresh water or cleaning products.
The hamam was the absolute low point. There, one rather feels like catching a bacterial infection, fungal infection, or something similar, instead of relaxing. There is no water hose or any means to clean the plastic loungers or seating areas. One is effectively sitting on the remnants of the previous user. The bench is porous, unhygienic, and provides ideal conditions for germs and bacteria. Additionally, only one lamp was functioning, the grout was heavily moldy, and the entire area appeared neglected and in need of renovation.
The rest of the facilities are also in poor condition: rusted and far too few hooks for bathrobes, peeling paint, and a completely dirty tropical rain shower, under which one definitely does not want to stand.
The entire pool and wellness area was not wiped or checked even once during our stay – something that should be standard in professional spa and sauna facilities.
An absolute no-go is also the lack of privacy in the sauna area. From the pool, practically anyone can see directly into the sauna area through the windows. Guests walk past the windows naked – visible to children, adults, or even questionable observers alike. This definitely does not create an atmosphere of tranquility, safety, or relaxation.
Basic hygiene measures such as disinfectant basins or foot cleaning options are also lacking. There is no discernible separation between clean and dirty areas. Everyone walks everywhere – this makes the overall concept appear quite unhygienic.
Additionally, one inevitably questions how reliably the water hygiene in the pool is monitored. There is no information or current measurements regarding chlorine, pH, or hygiene parameters displayed – something that is usually transparently documented in reputable wellness and bathing facilities. Given the generally poor impression of hygiene, this appears extremely questionable and does not inspire confidence in the water quality or the regular monitoring of the technical systems.
Additionally, safety-related areas also seemed poorly maintained. The railing by the pool was not securely mounted and wobbled significantly – a definite risk in a wet area. In the sauna area, there were also no visible markings or safety measures on the stairs, which increases the risk of slipping and tripping. Overall, the impression is that neither safety nor a well-thought-out wellness concept is given sufficient importance.
Even a basic atmosphere is completely lacking: Not even subtle background music provides any sense of calm or relaxation. Instead of wellness, there is a cold, chaotic, and disorganized environment where relaxation is hardly possible.
Particularly disappointing is that bath towels must be paid for separately despite the already high entrance fee. For around 95 euros, one expects significantly more service, transparency, and quality. Instead, one feels poorly informed and honestly rather cheated.
Compared to other hotels, spa, or sauna facilities, the condition here is shockingly disappointing. From our perspective, it requires not only a fundamental renovation but also clear hygiene guidelines, consistent supervision, regular cleaning, and a professional wellness concept.
The operator should urgently take action and make significant improvements.

Good classic restaurant up North.

Safe bet to have family lunch/dinner at Leweck's.
Family run hotel&restaurant, we like the brasserie de luxe decoration.
Friendly welcome and good service.
Traditional cuisine, tasty "Wiener Schnitzel" ... huge servings. Correct value for money.
Extensive wine list (bottles&by the glass).
Plenty of free parking.
Reservations are recommended (especially on weekends).
