Small en suite,perfect fit

The hotel is neat and clean the rooms are almost like a tiny studio apartment. Bathroom has a fantastic massage shower.
Only downsize is there is no elevator, but they will carry your luggage up.
Great steak house restaurant attached.

Not a palace

Hot water only in trickles, no check-in, breakfast is cleared away at 9, and they don't ask if you would like anything else. The time for breakfast is nowhere to be found. Renovation was done cheaply, no air conditioning. Definitely not worth the name Palace.

Improvements are needed.

The hotel is the best in town but the competition is not very high.
The breakfast, the room and the restaurant are positive points.
It is easy to park in front.
Nevertheless, if the astrum wants to keep the name Palace in its name, it is urgent to make some improvements:
Carpeting in the lobby, painting in the lobby deserve a refreshment.
Room maintenance needs to be improved:
Batteries of remote control HS, important limestone on taps, dusty remote control, No tea or coffee with kettle...
Consideration should also be given to modernising televisions which are more than 15 years old, too small and not connected.
Big negative: the hotel is not listed on Hotels.com
This is a shame because no hotel in the area is on this site. It is depriving itself of a significant potential clientele.

Good hotel and great food

I managed to stay in the room 304 which is really luxury in comparison with other rooms at this hotel. Room 304 has 2 spacious rooms, is not at the railway side. Downstairs is a very good restaurant. The breakfast is good too. The staff is very friendly. The hotel’s interior is recently improved, they offer free wi-fi. There is also a separate room, where you could have a private party as they can deliver the food from the restaurant downstairs. The prices are reasonable. There is no elevator, so you need to climb to the 3rd floor.

Astrum Palace Hotel

On arrival at the hotel (level 1) access to the reception was via staircase to the third floor. No lift was visible. You pass the restaurant which is on the 2nd floor.
The reception is functional and efficient.
The room I had was clean, well decorated to s modern style and large.
The hotel was full when I arrived so the booked room was at the back of the hotel. Front is the road side while the back is facing the railway line.
I arrived on a very hot day and a small fan provided for an attempt to cool the room. The window could be opened.
The Restaurant on the 2nd floor provided a place to cool down as it was air conditioned. Staff pleasant and food was very good. Breakfast is in the same room and there was enough variety when I came down.
In general a very good hotel in the area and I will book a room if I am in the town again.
