8/10 worth staying and recommending
Nice hotel in a good area. Staff are friendly and the rooms are reasonable with pricing m. The rooms were very clean and we noticed a hard working Ukrainian lady who took her job seriously and was always greeting us with a warm smile

Nothing fancy...
You get what you pay for. This place isn't expensive nor is it fancy. If you want a place in the North of Winnipeg to stay, don't have a lot of money, and your expectations are humble...it fills the need. On the upside, the restaurant is quite good and if they have a buffet...incredible value!

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!
If you like black mold in the shower, housekeeping employees with anger issues (when we went back to our room in the evening one of the beds was broken) and dirty floors --this is the place for you. If you do not enjoy these qualities in a hotel, you should stay anyplace else. It was just as well that they didn't have a pool because I didn't take my kit to test the water. After buying disinfecting wipes, I made the best of a bad hotel room.

Gross & Digusting!
Anyone that might be thinking staying at The Norvilla or that might have guests stay at The Norvilla, please don't! It's as bad as the nightmare hotel we stayed in, in Surrey sans the bullet holes in Surrey.
There is no WiFi even though they will say on the phone there is. House cleaning is disgusting, you have to go down all the time for coffee, hangers, cups.
If you want a clean coffee maker (ours still had a used coffee filter in it and was gross) you better be willing to clean it yourself along with your coffee cups.
They don't come make up your beds, bring anything unless you go down and ask the front desk to.
They don't vacuum properly, could see dust and hair from previous guests along the walls. Dirty pillowcases were also left in our room.
Front desk girls were sweet and the bartender from the bar is the one who actually came up and brought me coffee for the next morning one night.
It took 24 hours to get a remote for our TV and they only have the very basic cable so if you have kids you know that is not enough.
The bar fridge is half the size of most bar fridges and we found strawberries with a spoon in them from a previous guest in ours.
Took hours to get to sleep with the combination of noise from a room down the hall and springs sticking into me.
After we left the room the housekeeper finally went into clean and found sunglasses under the bed thinking they were ours she chased after us. They were from someone that stayed their previously.
If you complain to the General Manager she will yell at you in the middle of the lobby. She did me even though she knew we were there for my Dads funeral and she knew that!
She interrupts too! I told her I think she is very rude for interrupting and insisted she let me finish what I was saying and she still interrupted.
If you ask for a discount due to the conditions of the hotel and the no WiFi she will only offer the seniors discount of $6 a night. That is all the authority she has. I asked her to talk to the manger and got a $57 discount for our 4 nights there.
Have guests stay at The Curtis, they are remodeling all the rooms one by one. Our room last year had a new bed, new paint and wallpaper, full digital cable, and a normal sized bar fridge.
At the Curtis, all the rooms are smoking and non smoking but if you ask for a non smoking room they will put a purifier in your room for a few hours before you check in. Apparently it works!
At The Curtis they clean your room and bathroom daily!!!!
Add the Curtis is slightly cheaper!
