How pleased were we that we booked this accommodation.
From checking in at the Sheraton Wall reception, to going to the Embarc private lounge to wait for our room, then walking into our apartment. What a joy.
Location - perfect.
View - 29th floor, amazing.
Apartment - sensational.

We had not stayed with Embarc previously. We will again though. Level 29 (28, 29, and 30 are Embarc, the rest is Sheridan Wall. As a Hilton chain, Embarc meets and exceeds expectations. Great floor to ceiling windows, all kitchen amenities, plus a list of random household amenities you may request at anytime. The only issue was our TV. With no Chromecast capabilities, it forced us to watch a movie "old school", but that was minor. Otherwise, a very content stay while attending a conference.

The room was excellent and the concierge team was super! The rooms where very comfortable and clean and they had all the essential supplies you need plus more.
The hotel had a nice gym and pool and you get access to all the hotel amenities. It's also well situated close to restaurants, groceries and everything you need.

Average - at best!

Arrived from the airport via Uber at around 9pm after a 10 hour flight. Uber dropped us at the hotels registered/advertised address - 1001 Hornby Street. It was cold, raining and we had several cases and bags. The doors were locked and we couldn’t access the hotel. There was a ‘push here for assistance’ button, but no one responded. Another couple arrived - they couldn’t access the building either. After about 15 minutes a third couple arrived with hotel room keys they were able to use for us all to gain access to the building. Escalator was turned off/ not working. We took the elevator to reception - receptionist told us that this happens all the time and blamed the Uber driver. I pointed out the driver had dropped us at the address we gave him (from the hotel’s website) and next to the hotel sign that says ‘Embarc’. I don’t see how this is the Uber driver’s fault and if it happens often perhaps the hotel should provide a fix. We checked in, went to the room, tried to order room service but the QR code on the info sheet doesn’t work. Today we tried to use the pool/spa. One spa is not working. The other had eight people in it. We waited, came back an hour later and there was now nine different people in the only working spa so we gave up. All in all a pretty poor experience. We’re here for another couple of days so it’ll be interesting to see if someone from hotel management contacts us to discuss this very average at best experience.

Additionally, the QR code issue has been resolved, and we are reviewing our processes with our partner, Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, to improve communication and prevent similar situations in the future.

Really really lovely hotel. We had a top floor studio and the view across the city from our room was incredible. The hop on and off bus had a stop right outside so we explored the whole city really easily. The bar and restaurant served lovely food and drink and the staff were wonderful. Couldn't fault this hotel at all. Would definitely go back there.
