Great Place!!

very welcoming environment & people, gave excellent instructions on parking, room was great, location & neighbourhood was also great!!
they accommodated our last minute change of plans which was very helpful for us!
would definitely stay here again!

good option on St Hubert St.

Booked via bookings for 69$ a night for 2 nights.
This place is super basic but does the job. Checked in around 5PM and was buzzed in by staff. The owner and staff are friendly Cambodian Chinese ladies , so they speak French and some English. Key for room and front door were provided, very old school.
The room is clean, simple, a bit on the old side. Small LCD TV with cable box, small desk, clean bathroom but with very small Euro style tuber shower.
They do have coffee and Milo (!!!) in the lobby...
No elevators so get a 2nd floor room if you dont like stairs...
And location is great on St Hubert, parking at bus terminal across the street...very convenient...

Simple and clean budget hotel.

I stayed here in May 2025, when my regular hotel ran out of rooms, I found Hotel Victor on Booking.com. This is a simple budget hotel located within a few minutes walk of the Berri-UQUAM Metro station. The ladies checking you in are friendly, and because I arrived too early, they were kind enough to allow me to store my carry-on bag inside reception while I explored the city. It's very old-school with a room key, and you are buzzed in whenever you enter the building.
The rooms are basic and include a mini-fridge, desk and chair, TV, and A/C. The bed was comfortable enough, and the bathroom is small, but it's clean and the shower works well! Toiletries are an all-in-one body wash/shampoo. Wi-Fi is fine and worked well enough to check emails and watch YouTube on my phone. There was a coffee machine near reception, but I didn't use it, as there are many cafes and places to eat nearby.
It is an old building, so be prepared to experience a little noise and climb winding steps. If you are able-bodied, the steps should not be a problem. Although this is a non-smoking building, I believe another guest was smoking, and the smell bothered me a little. The owners told them not to smoke, but enforcing this may have been difficult. Also, the toilet paper is only one-ply and two-ply would be more comfortable.
In summary, if you need an affordable and basic place for one or two nights close to the Metro, Hotel Victor is suitable. Please don't expect anything luxurious. This is a budget hotel, a small business run by a family. As a female solo traveller, I felt fine staying here, and I appreciated the kind and hard-working Aunties.

Good location

This hotel was well located within 300 metres of Berri-UQAM subway station, which is at the intersection of the three Montreal lines.
The bed was softer than I would have liked but did not inhibit sleep unduly.
The shower was good. This was the only hotel on my Canada trip which did not provide facecloths in the bathroom.
A communal kettle was provided in the lobby but rather than carry hot drinks upstairs I was glad to be able to use my own travel kettle.

Hotel?

We arrived late in the afternoon to an unlikely looking hotel? Looked very grimy , helped upstairs by one of the elderly ladies. Room was OK , clean sheets and bathroom. Pillows could do with an upgrade and more than one each could be supplied . Clean towels were supplied every day but towels a bit straggly and worn. Walls are thin, you could hear occupants in the next room. Also room could have a kettle to make a hot drink. OK for our short stay
