Convenient location

The location of this hotel is great. The rooms were spacious, clean, bed comfortable and bathroom was big. It was also quiet. The Airport Express bus stops right by the front of the hotel which makes it a very convenient way to get to and from the airport. The hotel is also connected to Scotia Place Mall which is handy, the mall is not large and doesn't have many stores but it does have a food court when you need to grab a bite or a coffee and snacks at Dollarama. You don't even need to go outside to get to the mall. The hotel did have a Starbucks/cafe in the lobby but since you can get cheaper coffee at the mall, it's a better alternative. The Hotel Restaurant however had really good food and adequate portion sizes, we had the fish and chips, taste was good, and price was a lot better than eating at the restaurants on the waterfront. They also had lobster rolls. One day there was mussel tasting offered in the lobby which brought us to later eat at the Restaurant.
Some drawbacks would be the pool. It looked like there was maintenance going on as a part had yellow tape down some stairs, although the pool was open. The pool area could be cleaner as well. The chlorine was way too strong so remember to bring a pair of goggles or your eyes will burn. There is also no washroom/shower that I saw to wash before getting in the pool and after.

Great experience!

The hotel was newly renovated and was great! We had two rooms and they were very comfortable and clean. The best part of our stay was the staff, they are super kind and very helpful! From the front desk I have to thank Tam,Victoria,JJ,Pragti,Grant and Cathy and special thanks to Kamal and Adila from the housekeeping for amazing decorations and a very comfy room!

Nice hotel with a few issues

We stayed at the Delta hotels by Marriott Halifax Downtown for two nights in June. The location was walking distance to the boardwalk and all the downtown area. Keep in mind that like most other Marriott properties, you will pay a hefty price to park a car. The room itself was nice with all the expected amenities for Marriott hotels. No bottled water was provided in the room but the water stations were appreciated. The hotel restaurant was a disappointment. We came in after a full day of travel to find the only hotel restaurant having a severely limited menu with a selection of only five entrées. We expected more from a Marriott property however we made do. The only other issues were housekeeping. The bottom sheet on my bed was pulled up so high that my feet were on mattress pad instead of sheet. Also, there was no soap in the soap dispenser in the shower for the entirety of our stay. As we are finding more and more in Marriott hotels, housekeeping is falling down on the job.

Location was amazing, breakfast was simple and perfect to start our day. Tge staff was helpful and reaponsive throughout our stay. Would book here again :)

Wonderful Stay

Very clean and quiet hotel. Located in walking distance to the Harbour front. Very friendly staff.
