Check in was problematical
Bit odd that check in is at the hotel next door and on arrival their machine declined my credit card, which was the only time either before or after our stay that there was an issue with this card. I do online banking and that did not identify any problem either, so the issue was with the hotel’s equipment. Another credit card was accepted but for a time the rejected card account was showing 2 pending transactions (the declined ones) which was disconcerting as a charge was accepted by my other credit card. However, it all worked out in the end.
The hotel has plenty of underground parking, which is free but you need authorisation at reception when you check in.
Our room was spacious and clean. No breakfast was available at the hotel but there are plenty of options within walking distance.

We had a room with two bedrooms. One had a window air conditioner, and there was a fan that we pointed at the other room, but it was still warm in the room with the window unit, and hot in the room without it.
You need to check in at the hotel next door. There appeared to be no one on site at our hotel. Anyone could walk right in the front entrance or the alley door.
Our carpet had multiple big stains.
The hot tub closed at 9:00 so we never got to use it.
Each room had a lounge chair, but neither room had a table and chairs.
The rooms overall felt bare and dated. The beds were comfortable enough but had noticeable sagging.
We did appreciate having separate bedrooms and the location was very good. The maids also did a good job.

Air conditioner had to run constantly because every time it came on it mid so loud it wakes us up throughout the night. It was like having a train in our room it was so loud. But if it wasn’t on, the sound of people in the halls, entering their rooms, and flushing toilets was also loud enough to wake us. The TV has no streaming, casting, or mirroring capabilities so no TV except channels. The shampoo dispenser was knocked off the wall. The conditioner dispenser was empty. The coffee in the room was terrible and the creamer was two packets of dried creamer. The check in was the next hotel. The pillows crash down to bed level so good luck with that. The bed is on rollers that stick out so watch your toes. Awful. Worst hotel I’ve been in. Seeing the receipt made me nauseated at the rip-off. It’s below the level of motel 6 because those are quiet, comfortable and clean.

Not good.
AC unit next to head of bed blowing air no matter how the vents were aimed. So loud when it came on it wakes us up. Next room toilet flushing so loud it woke us up. If you can’t sleep in a hotel what is the point?

There’s no front desk at this hotel, it’s ran by the hotel next door. This made the experience feel not super secure, especially since we were on the first floor. The parking was underground so that was great! Super close to downtown Banff but still far enough away that it’s not noisy. The AC unit point directly at your head at night so it’s loud and chilly. Overall, a good stay!
