Located directly on Bow River, this lodge is situated in Banff National Park, 5 minutes' walk to Banff city centre. A swimming pool, fitness centre, and sauna are available for guest use nearby.

Impressed with AB & Banff
The Bow View Lodge is an older but a well kept hotel that faces the Bow River for great views. The rooms had all the basic amenities and the beds are very comfortable. There is no AC but at night the window open was perfect (50 f outside). The front desk staff was exceptional, friendly and always open to questions about the surrounding area. We were there early July, peak tourist season, so the room rates were astronomical but similar to other Inns in town. All of Banff is very expensive.

Worth it for the access
Stay here! It's the only accommodations with access to the river right outside your door. Beautiful way to start the morning. It’s peaceful because it’s away from cars and town.
The rooms are very outdated but you won’t be in them anyway! Didn’t do breakfast because it was in a different building, but nice to have the option.

If I ever go back, I want to stay here.
Our first time in Banff. I needed the most affordable hotel with the best location in Banff I could get. Wow. We got a balcony with our stay. It didn't feel super busy at the hotel despite it being in July. The huge river right off our balcony. We could walk to anything we needed. The stay included parking which was an added bonus. The town kind of clears out at night, but parking in the day seems impossible so we were grateful to not need to move our parked truck upon arrival until we left after our tour the next day. The hotel is retro, but most critical to me is that it was very clean. The staff was very accomodating. Thanks.

We loved the location. East to walk to Banff Ave. the view of the mountains and Bow River from our room was outstanding!

We were very pleased with the front desk and how helpful they were. It was nice to have access to the pool and hot tub of the other building on the property. It was also very nice to have a room that was clean and not run down. Especially because the building was obviously a bit older.
They were also very aware of the construction noise and took steps to make sure that guests would be taken care of and that they were made aware of the potential disruption.
I would recommend that anyone stay here. We had a great experience.
