Excellent service, no complaints

I had stayed at Goona Residency post a trek with YHAI during August. The owner was super friendly and so were the staff. They were eager to sit around and talk about their live and were curious about what we were up to as well. We were eager listeners and talkers ourselves. The owner also arranged a shikhara tour for us at a reasonable rate. Even though we stayed there only one day, it was evident that the staff would miss us tourists once we went, hugging us as we left and seeing us off. Definitely a 5-star stay. The amenities were fine as well and the rooms were clean too.

This was my third visit at Goona Residency i love to be here again and again for there Excellent service,Excellent rooms,Amenities and Location is beautiful and most of all the team is perfect standing for there best hospitality to serve the guest .

My visit to Kashmir

At the beginning of April I made the long journey from Manali to Kashmir. I was searching for some more beautiful mountain views and I wasn't disappointed
On arrival in Srinagar late at night, I was so very fortunate to stumble upon the Goona Residency on Modern Hospital Rd. Fayaz the owner gave me a warm greeting (and meal) and we spoke for hours about Kashmir. He's a local that has also travelled the globe, so he has a great knowledge of the area and what tourists want and expect. The hotel was a gem, really comfortable rooms, great service from Towseef and Dadir and amazing Kasmiri food, cooked by the man himself, Fayaz.
It's in a perfect location to amenities and attractions, while remaining away from the hustle and bustle of dhal lake (10 min walk) and other parts of noisy Srinagar.
I made the Guesthouse my base for 10 days while visiting the other beautiful villages of Gulmarg and Pahalmarg in Kashmir. Fayaz was always on hand to advise me the best travel options available, which was so helpful. It's really was like a home from home and made my visit to Kashmir so enjoyable. When you meet great people along the way travelling is so much more memorable.
Do yourself a favour and stay here when you arrive in Srinagar
