Great staff and perfect hospitality

The thing you would like the most about this place is the excellent hospitality of Santosh and his team. The food is excellent. He is one of the best chefs and everything he makes is just amazing. The staff is very helpful.
Location is away from the hustle bustle of gangtok which is great. We used to walk a couple of km everyday in the morning and that was very enjoyable
The property is good but needs maintenance. They should repair the bathrooms which have some leakage issues. Swimming pool was not very appealing
But overall a great experience

Thank you for choosing to stay at Maya Baas. We are glad that you enjoyed the culinary skills of Santosh, he too had joined Maya Baas recently and ever since has been a boon to the villa. Our apologies with the maintenance issues during your stay, but be assured the property has been re painted and fixed of all the leakages and the pool now crystal clear. There was an entire staff overhaul and we had to wait till the lean season to do the necessary works.
We wish you many happy journeys and great stays.

Good Party place

The Property is picturesque from inside. View is amazing from rooms and common sitting area. It has a small pool but need maintenance as the water was not clean, the whole property need Maintainence especially the Bathrooms and Kitchen area. Overall the staff is good, food was tasty, you can have amazing stay if you can ignore the general hygiene of the place. Place is also a little far from general sight seeing places of Gangtok hence you will be charged a little extra to go anywhere from there.

Thank you for choosing to stay at Maya Baas. Our apologies for the late response and the maintenance issues, the entire property has been renovated and the pool is crystal clean as of today. We were in a process of overhauling entire staffs during peak season and few things got left unattended.
The villa is indeed meant for good times with friends and family, but we do not encourage loud party as the place deserves its tranquility and its ambient settings.

Perfect Place to Spend Time with Family - Away from the city melee

We had stayed here (2 families) on new years eve. The property is very well designed and maintained. The evening view of Gangtok city was absolutely breathtaking.
Sanjay, the in house chef cooked some delectable stuff for us and the fire place in common area added to the overall warmth and welcome environment that the property has.
The bedrooms are quite spacious and very well maintained.
Highly recommended for someone who wants to spend quality time away from the city crowd.

Not up to expectations

We had great expectations about the property, but the experience was just okay okay sort. The view from the room is good and the property is spacious. But it has become old and some things are not even working. Food is over priced and the quantity they serve is also less which was a huge turn off.

Thank you for choosing to stay in Maya Baas. We are sorry to hear that the villa was not upto your expectations. Rest assured the villa has been renovated post lock down. The facilities & amenities have been improved.The menu & prices (a-la-carte) is still the same though since 2016, which we believe is one of the cheapest as compared to similar establishments and the portion bowls served are industry standard, however we have definitely improved our food services and servings too.. Wishing you a good life!!

Peaceful and Relaxing Place

We were very excited about this property and it looked fantastic in the pictures. It was exactly how it looked in the pictures. All rooms were tidy, had hot water, heating. It was a home away from home. The two permanent staff Sanjay and Rupesh were excellent in their service.
