Beware of these thieves.Le Grace Residency=Fraud People
Beware of these thieves.They have stolen ₹1575 from us.
I share my experience with you. I was coming from Mamallapuram to Chennai.It was a little late in the evening.So I booked this hotel in a hurry for Rs.1575 after seeing their ratings.And that was my biggest mistake.Guys don't get fooled by Hotel rating.This hotel was the worst hotel on my Chennai trip.As soon as I checked in and went to the hotel room, I was completely shocked to see the condition of the room.
1 .There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room,So much so that the chances of you getting sick with dengue and malaria were very high.It felt as if I had come to live in a slum.
2.The room window was partially broken.
3.There was no hot water in the bathroom. When I complained about it at the reception, I got a reply that hot water will be available in the morning. If you need it now, we can bring you a bucket of hot water.I felt as if I had come to stay in a dormitory or a cheap lodge, not a hotel.
4.Bedsheets and pillow covers were very dirty.
I complained about all this to the reception, they gave us another room but its condition was also similar.To be honest, the entire hotel was full of mosquitos. The reception lady was also sitting with a Good Night mosquito coil at reception.They advised us to sleep using a Good Night mosquito coil.So you will have to
Why do I have to make so many adjustments after paying almost ₹1600?
So I finally decided to cancel the hotel booking and for that I spoke to the reception person Mr.Dipen.He told me that you booked this hotel through cleartrip,So for cancellation cleartrip need to send us an email to cancel your booking and we will reply to it and then you will get your refund.
I immediately called Cleartrip and asked them to send a cancellation email to the hotel. Cleartrip immediately sent an email to the hotel.And I was told that as soon as the hotel replies to this message, you will get your refund. I immediately requested Dipen to reply to that email. He then told me, "Sir, I can't reply right now. The reply will be sent by us tomorrow morning, and you will receive your refund."
So after his assurance about my cancellation and refund,I booked another hotel called Arunachal Residency and left from this beggars hotel.Arunachala residency hotel was superb in all parameters.
It has been a month now and this hotel is not giving me a refund and is saying that I will not get a refund and is not even telling me the reason for not getting the refund.
Now when I am reading the reviews of others then I am realizing that this hotel is already such a bad hotel and apart from me many other people have come here and got fooled.
I am also posting the screenshot of my hotel booking so that they feel a little ashamed.This whole incident happened late in the evening, so in the hurry I forgot to take photos of this hotel room.I am also sharing screenshot of other reviews,So that No one will get fooled like us by their Google ratings.

THEFT AND ZERO SAFETY
**⭐☆☆☆☆ – The most terrifying hotel experience of my life. Stay away from Le Grace.**
I would strongly advise everyone to **NEVER** stay at Le Grace.
My friends and I were staying in Room 314. At around **2:20 AM**, I woke up to use the washroom. When I came back, I heard movement in the room. At first I thought it was coming from the window, but then I looked around and saw **a man's legs moving underneath our bed. Someone had been hiding under our bed while we were sleeping.**
I screamed and woke up my two friends. The intruder panicked, crawled out from under the bed, and escaped by jumping out of the window. After he fled, I found my bag on the floor with my wallet emptied. **₹1,000 in cash had been stolen.**
We immediately called the police, who arrived and assisted us. The hotel eventually refunded our two-night stay, but no refund can erase the trauma of waking up to find a stranger hiding in your room.
The most horrifying part is not the money I lost. It is knowing what **could** have happened. If I had not woken up when I did, this incident could have escalated into something far worse. When an unauthorized person can hide inside a guest's room in the middle of the night, every guest has to wonder whether they are at risk of **RAPE**, **MURDER**, or other violent crimes. No traveler should ever have to fear for their life while sleeping in a hotel.
This experience has left me traumatized, and I still struggle with the feeling of helplessness. A hotel's first responsibility is guest safety, and in my experience, that responsibility was completely failed.
Please think twice before booking this hotel. Your vacation is never worth risking your safety.
