This heritage hotel was an experience to stay in
This heritage hotel was an experience to stay in. We were greeted by the lovely smiling Sukesh who has been part of the furniture of this establishment for a long time. His attention to detail and memory was fantastic. After checking in, we sat by the pool and a fan thankfully due to the heat and humidity. We were asked by Akhil if we were wearing any mosquito repellent and when our reply was no, he got us some spray and put some joss sticks under the table. We ate light on the first night as we got there late and it was delicious, the squid salad with lemon butter was divine.
Thank goodness they had a pool as that was much needed and a lovely temperature. The breakfast was also excellent cooked to order.
I would highly recommend this place as a unique place to stay right by the harbour and the old chines fishing nets.

A Colonial Gem in Fort Kochi – Outstanding Food, History, Charm and Warm Hospitality
After staying in ten different hotels during our journey around India, Old Harbour Hotel stands out as the finest of them all.
This beautifully restored colonial property is steeped in history and has a wonderful atmosphere. The building itself is full of charm, and the carefully chosen artefacts displayed throughout the hotel add to its authentic character. It feels like staying in a piece of Kochi’s rich past while enjoying all the comforts of a high-quality boutique hotel.
The hotel is immaculate, and every member of staff made us feel warmly welcomed throughout our stay.
The gardens are beautifully maintained and include a tranquil pond and an excellent swimming pool, creating a peaceful oasis in the heart of Fort Kochi.
The restaurant was another highlight. The setting was calm and relaxing, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food was exceptional. We were particularly impressed by the variety of local Kerala dishes, Indian cuisine, and international choices.
Old Harbour Hotel combines history, comfort, excellent food, and genuine hospitality. We cannot wait to return and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone visiting Koch

A beautiful, atmospheric hotel with exceptional service and the perfect place to start Kerala
A beautiful hotel with Dutch influences, great service and a perfect starting point to discover Kerala.
The Old Harbour Hotel in Kochi is a special and atmospheric hotel with Dutch influences, which is not surprising since it used to be a Dutch tea trade building. From the first contact via Booking it felt good: we were immediately friendly approached via chat, given a phone number and even help with arranging a taxi.
On arrival we were really surprised. What a lovely place to come in. The ambience is fantastic and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. As soon as we entered our room, it smelled fresh and we immediately felt at home. The room itself was beautifully and stylishly decorated.
The location is perfect to start your journey through Kerala. You are in the middle of the liveliness, so you can immediately experience and get used to the culture, the people and the crowds. Nearby you will find nice shops and good restaurants. You can also watch the traditional Kathakali dance (over 400 years old) in different places — we arranged this through the hotel, which was very nice.
The food in the hotel is clearly prepared with love. Everything we ate was just delicious.
What really makes this hotel special is the service. Because of the LPG crisis, they have arranged a device especially for my wife to make a Masala Dosa for breakfast. That says everything about how well they take care of their guests.
We had a great time here and really should have stayed longer. Fortunately, that is a good reason to come back.

Very nice stay
Lovely hotel. Great location for exploring Fort Kochi. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great rooms - some with outdoor shower. Nice pool. Very good breakfast and also restaurant available for lunch and dinner if required. Very close to Chinese fishing nets and beach promenade.

Beautiful heritage hotel
Beautiful heritage hotel with the most amazing food and garden and a perfect location. The staff were all so lovely, especially the front desk and restaurant manager - beautiful, gentle people. A real treat.
