Small eaters are also considered.

I've had a stomach reduction for a few weeks now and I can't have a regular meal yet but I can have a small one and that's what's on the menu for children or small eaters' . Totally fine, I had 1 brown sandwich and a homemade free-range egg salad. Kudos to the Golden Carp!!

Ordinary scallops

It all started that they forgot about us, but that was nothing with what was going to happen, the owner came out ranting about men not putting their chairs back but it didn't stop there she went on and on ...what a common bad hostess, I'm never going back there

Unsatisfactory accommodation

It's quite disappointing, because of the surroundings, which are great. However, the room had a funny smell, the walls were dirty with dead mosquitoes (and "their" blood), and the beds were not good (the mattresses were terrible). The breakfast was just ok, nothing special, it could have been better. Again, the surroundings are amazing and the employees were really nice, though.

Simply outstanding - wonderful place to stay and eat

Not a lot I can say; we've been thoroughly well looked after by the team, the room (number 10) is spacious, comfortable and well maintained while the food has been great.
Plenty of parking, secure bike storage (we have three) and they are fine with me emptying the breakfast table after a fasted run in the morning!
We've eaten here 2 out of the three nights we have stayed and the meal on both nights has been fantastic. The vegetarian options have great flavour and substance while the chicken with peanut sauce is truly awesome. It's like a Thai satay, but with more flavour, less spice and substantially less oil.
Dessert wise, the brownies are remarkable. Crisp on the outside, genuinely gooey in the middle and served with a tremendous raspberry ice-cream. If it isn't homemade, I would love to know if I can buy it in England.
The location is great for exploring and the roads easy to navigate by car or bike - this place is proof that there is a lot more than Amsterdam and the other big cities to the Netherlands!

Quiet and beautiful

The staff is really kind and the place is exactly what you need if you are in search of a peaceful and comfortable stay near Amsterdam. You can see some mills from your room's window and the views are pretty and peaceful!;)
