HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I was there with my wife and my 10-year-old son. Large and clean room (considering being in Amsterdam). Well-trained receptionists and a metro stop outside the hotel. Excellent price. Super recommended.

A good base away from the noise of the city

Good location for the trams and the trains to central Amsterdam. The staff were welcoming and gave us a brief introduction and a quick guide to the area. They explained that there was not a restaurant but that is not a problem as there are many restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk. There is also a Lidl nearby and a Jumbo supermarket near Sloterdijk station. The room was clean and spacious with a decent shower. Shower body wash and handwash was provided. There is a small fridge and coffee making facilities but they use pods although will dispense hot water. We had a faulty curtain that was fixed within minutes of being reported. The hotel internet is OK and the TV was more than adequate with a few English channels.
We arrived by train but the hotel does have a car park.
All in all a decent hotel in a fair location if you don’t want the hustle and noise of the city centre. The tram drops you off right by the Rijks Museum which is only a 15 minute ride.
I also noted that the city taxes are included in the price, so no hidden fees on checkout.

Strategic location

The hotel is not bad. Few customer services (for example, I needed to have an item of clothing cleaned but they could not handle this need of mine), carpet everywhere and a bit of dust on the furniture, as well as some stains on some pillowcases and towels. The service is friendly. Breakfast too expensive for what they offer. Well connected to the center and the very nearby train station.

THE CLEANING STAFF STOLE THINGS FROM OUR ROOM

The general hotel experience was fine, until the cleaning staff went through our bags and stole things from us, when we were out during the day. One evening when we came back to our room our bags had clearly been searched and several things were missing (skincare products, underwear, medicine). Don't leave things you care about in the room.
