Good location. Ideal short stay

We found this hotel with Booking, because the price was + attractive than the competitors.
Welcome is at the nearby trade, 50€ deposit is required in cash. To reach the hotel, the stairs are quite steep. However I am surprised by the other comments since our room was clean and renovated recently I think. This looks like a studio
You're right in the heart of the center. Parking nearby we paid 45h 9h/19h. Ideal for a short stay or we without paying 300€ per night.

Charming but simple standard.

Hotels in Amsterdam are expensive. This has a lower price even though it is close to the station. The lower standard explains the lower price. Located in an old narrow and tall house. The restaurant staff on the ground floor let you in. The staff staff staffs the restaurant around the clock and have a good eye on when you arrive and can let you through the hotel's locked gate.
The rooms are quite large and clean. The beds are perfectly OK. We slept well in all five of them.
What they pull down the grade is above all the lack of views. The window in the bedroom was frosted and warped but could be opened but one meter away was a concrete wall, the same in the bathroom. The towels had seen better days and were threadbare.
You can not eat breakfast at the hotel but a cafe that opens at 9 was 100m away.

Give it a miss!

Terrible hotel. Words could not describe how bad it is. Our room was tiny, like a prison. There was mould in the bathroom on the tiles, the sink was leaking all over the floor and the floor of the bedroom was filthy. They ask for a €50 deposit upon checking in (even after payment) as if we could possibly make the room any worse. Photos on Booking.com are not accurate and dont show all rooms.

I wish I never booked

The hotel was horrible. The sheets were unwashed and stained. The bathroom light was broken and overall the bathroom layout was horrendous. The only good thing was the view and the location. The staff were nice but overall not a good experience.

Amsterdam weekend with friends

This hotel used to be ok now it's just not good, great location just laks a few things, kettle in the room would be good, rooms need a touch of TLC too, people coming in at all ours doors banging people running up down the wooden step staircase.....had to have light on all the time as no natural light....surprised booking dot come allows them to advertise on the site tbh.
We only went for the weekend and have stopped here before but it's really gone down hill
