Set in a landscape of great natural beauty, surrounded by the river Umia, this traditional rural hotel boasts lots of charm. Relax in the spacious, light and tastefully decorated rooms.

Wonderful hotel in the middle of nature.
Spectacular hotel located in an old 18th-century textile factory, in the middle of nature, with an unbeatable location and easy access. We do not understand how this gem has only three stars and not five.
Everything is designed for the guest's enjoyment, relaxation, and disconnection, from its exquisite decor, cared for with pampering and every luxury of detail, to the room's textiles (towels and sheets), of excellent quality, and its amenities. As a nice touch, every day we found a bottle of water and some delicious homemade welcome cookies.
The entire establishment, including the room, was remarkably clean, as was the sincere kindness and approachability of all the staff.
We have been to many high-quality hotels, both in Spain and in other countries, but few possess the charm and beauty of the Hotel Torre do Río.
The facilities deserve a separate mention, because their beauty is difficult to describe. The pool, fed by a waterfall that receives water directly from the Umia River, the immense garden of grass and flowers, the stairs, the viewpoints to the river, the corners with tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the surroundings, and the magnificent terrace with views make both breakfast and dinner an experience you will not want to leave.
The breakfast is fantastic: everything is fresh and of exceptional quality. I especially recommend the egg custard, the freshly made pastries, the cheeses, the cold cuts, and the delicious natural orange juice. Actually, absolutely everything!
If any problem arises, they are always willing to help you. And Erica, the owner, could not be kinder. She is responsible for having created this wonderful place and we can only thank her for making it possible.

A hotel were you feel relaxed.
We took this hotel for 1 night, while walking the Camino… so unfortunately we could not enjoy this wonderfull place for more then 1 night…
The rooms are very beautifull and the swimmingpool and garden are sublime…
This is a hotel were you can relax and enjoy the silence and it is small… I believe maximum 15 rooms…
Only disadvantage is the distance to the city… and if you’re there without a car, a taxi is needed (+/- 6€)

A bit of paradise
While walking the camino we had the pleasure of staying at this most beautiful hotel. The landscape gardens are magical. The food and room fantastic so peaceful. It was an oasis in the middle of camino walk. Breakfast was delicious Great selection Including some cook options. Our waiter was lovely and attentive

Charming hotel!
Very quiet hotel, lots of charm in a privileged natural setting. Comfortable rooms, elegant decor, and very good service. The breakfast is decent and the restaurant meets expectations. To find a fault, the pool is filled with river water, which flows through the hotel, and this makes the water not entirely clean. For everything else, a very pleasant stay..

GIFT VOUCHERS ARE A SCAM.
Terrible service. They have delusions of grandeur and think they are fantastic. Gift vouchers are a complete SCAM. Recently, I tried to gift one to some relatives, but after several inconveniences, including it arriving with the wrong name and with terrible service, it turns out that the "broad period" to redeem it is only about five months a year, during which they also block out holidays, festive days, and Holy Week... in short, a complete disgrace. Claim for a refund, because the advertising is misleading and it is not specified in the voucher. With that money, I gifted them another fantastic hotel, with its own spa (without having to leave the premises, unlike them) and excellent service, as well as attention. My relatives were delighted, and the most important thing is that the only dates they could not book were Holy Week and the month of August.
