Warm welcome & help with parking

Pulled into the harbour and were immediately welcomed and directed to a parking spot by a lovely Aussie guy out front of the restaurant. He gave us some info on the local sites and suggested we grab a swim before the our boats started to arrive.
After a swim and wander round the shops we popped back for lunch and couldn’t have been made more welcome. Had amazing shrimps cooked on the open grill. Excellent value and could have sat there all afternoon. Don’t miss the stream and well with the fish that runs through the restaurant!

Very romantic!

An authentic village on the island of Kalymnos. View of the bay, surrounded by mountains. Fishing boats, bleating goats, chirping birds – very romantic! Warm hosts ensure that holidaymakers feel comfortable. There is also a restaurant here that will not disappoint anyone.

Lovely place

We found this place by a chance as we were exploring Kalymnos Island on the scooter, and got bit hungry. We have been welcomed by an elderly man with a big smile on his face from Galini ! Please watch out there is Tawern next door and the woman there is very pushy, turned aggressive when we choosed Galini over her! You can’t go wrong with Galini so simple but beautiful, nice and quiet Food was great and was cheap. Place you want to visit. Will come back if we ever visit Kalymnos again thank you Anna

Authentic Kalymnos Getaway!!

If you want a genuine, affordable Greek island experience, the Hotel Galini is the place to stay. Vathi is a remote village for the average tourist, to be clear. If you are a rock climber, there are some thrilling climbs right around the corner. The hotel is not for high maintenance travelers-the rooms are sparsely furnished, and the bed mattresses are adequate at best.BUT..anything you need can and will be provided by the proprietor, Rita. She is always onsite-cooking, cleaning, and tending to everyone's needs.
Breakfast is included in your stay. My mornings started with fresh yogurt with honey, hot coffee, and fresh orange juice-prepared by Rita, of course.
We took advantage of the daily offer for anyone who stays or eats at the hotel/tavern: a short boat ride to the private secluded beach right around the corner. It was the highlight of our stay.
We appreciated Rita's attention and meals, and we recommend the Hotel Galini to all who want an authentic Greek Island getaway!!!

Bit of paradise

Came by tourist boat from Kos. Not the same experience ☹️ the staff were very busy so no welcome from George. But still a lovely experience. Food good worth a visit and better than going to the town. There is a small village with a few shops with souvenirs.
