A pearl!

Fantastic! Clean, big and Frank and his wife are hugely nice and super-welcoming. The breakfast (and view) is phenomenal. Highly recommended who loves peace, friendly people and does not shy away from walking some pieces. But Frank is never too lousy to give a ride. In a word: great!

Family run taxiarchis

Wonderful family run business located near the village chorio and a leisurely walk downhill to pedi, the bus passes at the bottom of road where you can flag him down or walk up to the kiosk at the top.
The rooms are cleaned daily except Sundays

The Pearl of Syme

Our stay at Taxiarchis Hotel in Symi was one of the most beautiful travel experiences we have experienced. From the first moment we felt the authentic Greek hospitality, as the staff and the owners were always willing to serve us with a smile, courtesy and genuine interest.
The room was comfortable, clean and attentive to every detail, while the calm atmosphere of the hotel offered absolute relaxation. The location is excellent, as it combines quietness and easy access to the most beautiful places of Symi, making the travel especially convenient.
A separate reference is worth the breakfast, which was quality, tasty and carefully made, giving the best start to each day of our holidays.

Beautiful setting, but unfortunate experience with hospitality

As a travel professional, I recently stayed at Taxiarchis Apartments for three nights while exploring accommodation options for future clients visiting Symi. The location is truly beautiful—set above Pedi Beach with breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. The apartments are family-run, and on arrival, I felt genuinely welcomed. The local bus service is convenient, and the walk down to Pedi is serene and enjoyable—ideal for travelers looking for peace and relaxation.
However, my experience was unfortunately marred by a situation that I feel is important to share in full transparency. One evening, I returned to find a large group of ants in the kitchen sink. In trying to rinse them away, I unintentionally caused water to get into the hob, which led to a short circuit. When I reported the issue, the female host was understanding and kind. Regrettably, the male host reacted with visible anger, shouting at me in a way that felt aggressive and unnecessary.
This incident changed the tone of my stay. I no longer felt comfortable or welcome and made the difficult decision to leave earlier than planned.
As a travel agent, I always aim to recommend accommodations that offer not just beautiful settings but also warm and professional hospitality. While Taxiarchis Apartments has much to offer in terms of location and charm, this experience highlighted concerns regarding guest relations that are important for future guests to be aware of.
