Another very enjoyable stay
We have stayed at the Rex a few times over the years and have been more than satisfied on every occasion. Our room on the 4th floor was on the corner of the building and was flooded with light. The bed was comfortable and the room scrupulously clean. The staff on reception were most helpful in every way. Once I asked where I might buy an English newspaper and the gentleman on the desk not only gave me the information he then rang the shop to check they had one. He then took me outside to show me exactly where the shop was. Breakfast provided an excellent choice and the ladies looking after the room were constantly refilling the platters to ensure there was enough. A particular plus in this hotel is that bar prices are normal and not grossly inflated as in so many other places. We often encountered locals enjoying their morning coffee or evening drink both in the bar and at the tables outside. The hotel is well placed for visiting everything in Kalamata. We enjoyed this visit every bit as much as our earlier visits and we are very grateful to all the staff who provide a wonderful service.

Rusty
We entered the room and smells bad obviously from the weather it had to be ventilated. We found hair and false eyelashes on the sheets , and black stacks on the blanket , we asked for a change , and it never happened , we asked for towels and they gave them to us with the insistence that there 's no other . There is mold everywhere , the ceiling of the hallway is torn and there is mold and this , the personally unstable we kindly asked to change us at least the blanket and were especially upset when we asked for new towels did not give us yet said that in other hotels that changed us badly liked us . Finally the basin is yellow and the rooms are not cleaned as we should just stretch our bed.

Dirty rooms and rude staff
The hotel looked like a nice hotel on the outside. We went on a two-day trip with my class. When we entered the room we saw a lot of dust, at first the bathroom smelled badly, the beds we didn't make and we went to sit and there were holes and pimples and the pads had spots. Also the furniture you were painting had soft drinks and sticky coffee spots. Next to the bed there were crumbs. When we called the reception twice it never came we were forced and we went down and their answer was that one class leaves and the other comes straight, resulting in not having time to clean them properly. They came to wipe us with a vacuum cleaner and not even tell us to change a room and we changed it only because we asked for it and in that room the towels were with yellow stains and when we asked them the next day towels told us that because in 4 hours we would leave there is no need to give us others. Overall it was a very bad experience and I would never go again.The staff was never unstable.

Great location, but needs operating acts.
I found the room with empty bottles of shampoo and soap, as well as the bed poorly arranged. Also the reception bathroom was without liquid soap in both male and female. Always forget to make the replacement??
As for breakfast, there was not the excellent white Greek cheese but a yellow mozzarella type. Fortunately there was yogurt and olives and nothing from the Greek patisserie.
The reception is bureaucratic, nothing special.
The bathroom shower is strong, but the space is too small for a normal person of 1.70. Wet the side outside
In summary, it served for 1 night because the bed was comfortable and with good bed / bath clothes clean.
